Hello from Italy Pordenone near Venice ♥ !
We are a family, a couple about forty years old (Gianni, Michela) and we have two kids. Marco is fifteen and Carlo is eight years old. We don't smoke and we don't have pets. We have this second house that is free all the year and we have a second car. We are interested to travel in all country.
The swap do not need to be simultaneous.
We are sure that you will enjoy and respect our home. We can assure you that we will treat yours with the same care and consideration.
We are especially passionate about snorkeling and swimming.
We are always looking for beaches.
Winter time we are skiing in the mountains.
We have spent 3 weeks in Pordenone during the summer 2010. It is a nice city with a charming historical center when you can have a walk, do shopping, drink a spritz-aperol and taste very good food, all by cycling from the house. The house was very comfortable even for our big family, All was prepared for us and Gianni and his family welcomed us on our arrival. The fridge was full with FRIULI specialities, it is very nice when you drove a long time !!! There is conditionning air and we appreciated it when sometimes it was hot. We have visited TRIESTE, SACILE, VENEZIA, TREVISE and small beautiful villages in the mountains. The house is well located because you can go to the beach (60 kms), the water is hot and also to the mountain (it is colder !!!). At the end of our stay, we met again Gianni and his family and it was great to discuss about our different exchanges and the italian way of life. Thanks to them for all their help and their kind attention, and also for the nice food they the let to our house in order to benefit even more from Italy. ITALY is a very nice country with very warmful people.
In august 2010 we have spent 3 weeks in Redon, Brittany, France. It was our first experience in exchanging house and we were excited, but also a bit worried (not knowing what to expect). Since the beginning Christhope, and Brice managed to make us to feel at ease. Thanks to their experience, during the frequent contact prior the exchange, they provided us with useful suggestions on how to organise everything. Whatever could make us worry have found an easy solution with their help. Living in their big beautiful house has been really fantastic. It is modern and fascinating with five bedrooms, three bathroom and big living room and a well equipped kitchen. \r\nThe house is very well located. Redon is a beautiful town. From Redon we have visited many beautiful places like the most beautiful beach in Europe \"La Baule, Morbihan Gulf and the city of Rennes, Nantes, Carnac, Vannes, Mont Saint Michel and many other places. \r\nThe instructions for handling the house and for visiting Brittany that they have prepared for us are so detailed that there\'s no space for errors. Everything is explained in details for every instrument we could eventually use ( we are going to adopt this method!). When we came back home we have the last nice surprise. Not only our house was in a perfect condition (this was one of our concern before deciding to try this new form of travelling ), but they also left us some nice gifts.\r\nThank you Christhope, Brice and kids, you have vanished our doubts about home exchange.\r\nNow it is going to be difficult to stop us! :-)\r\nGianni Michela and kids\r\n
Our visit to Pordenone, Italy was from June 22-27, 2011. Our party included Greg and Bridget Buckley along with our two teenage children from Minnesota in the USA. We had a wonderful time staying at this Italian residence in a quiet residential part of Pordenone. Their home was conveniently located for taking day trips into Venice, Triesta, Verona and Pordova. We did rent a car but we also took the train. In fact, when going into Venice we recommend that you park your car at the train station in Pordenone and take the train. To park at the train station for the whole day was only a few euro's and when you get off the train at Venice Santa Lucia station you walk straight out to the canals in Venice. The central Piazza in Pordenone was a great place to find good restaurants and bars. Our family enjoyed going into the Piazza most evenings for a Spritz and then wandering around the square and side streets looking for a place to eat dinner. Again, parking was very cheap or free after 8:00pm. The home of Gianni and Michela was very comfortable with all the comforts of home. We didn't eat in much but having a kitchen for breakfast and to pack lunches was helpful. We also used the washing machine and air conditioning. The family created a guide showing how each appliance worked, where some of the restaurants are located and directions to other towns. Gianni also met us at the house when we arrived and gave us a tour of his home, the town and places of local interest. Our trip to Italy was wonderful and we all look forward to going back. It was especially nice staying in a home and having Gianni and Michela introduce us to the town of Pordenone. Thank you again to Gianni, Michela, Marco and Carlo for your warm welcome and generous use of your home. Greg, Bridget, Andy and Clare

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pordenone. It's an old town with narrow streets, little shops, markets and restaurants, and cathedral with original painting of Pordenone. We were able to visit many cities: Venice, Verona, Padua, Trieste, Udine. The house is wonderful, almost a villa, with private yard, with all utilities, including laundry and dryer. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, conveniently close to shopping. The family was very friendly and helpful. Carl and Natalie

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Gianni's home in Pordenone. He and his were so gracious and generous, and we were even able to spend a bit of time with them to go sightseeing in some nearby seaside towns. Their home was airy and sunny, with every amenity. We rented a car to get around, which allowed us to go up into the Dolomites, drive around to castles, and go to the sea with ease. We also took the train into Venice a couple of days. I highly recommend exchanging with Gianni; he communicates promptly, provides loads of information and has a lovely family!
Very nice place to visit. The house is nice, clean and comfortable. Neighbourhood is very nice and safe. Hosts are very kind, generous and hospitable. Pordenone is very nice, small and peaceful Italian city. It is near the Italian cost, Venice, and on the other side to the beautiful Alps. We had a great time and we felt like at home. Thanks to our hosts. We recommend it.
