Hello from beautiful Zion National Park.
My husband Stan and I have been married for 20 years, are both in our 60s and very active in hiking and biking. We love to travel and explore areas of our country and around the world. We feel we are ideal candidates for home exchanging since we have been house-sitting for a couple in San Francisco for many years. Due to this experience, we know what it takes to treat a home as if it's our own. Though we're passionate about the outdoors and getting a lot of exercise, we also enjoy cities and the cultural opportunities they afford.

We would love to spend time near our children in Seattle, especially for Thanksgiving.
We love biking and hiking but are also interested in exchanges in Seattle and Chicago where we have family and friends.
Very comfortable, spacious and modern house which incorporates many environmentally renewable features. We enjoyed cooking in the contemporary kitchen, eating fresh lettuce from their garden and eggs we collected from the chicken coop. Their house is located in a small hamlet which is somewhat remote, but it is centrally located to many recreational and tourist sites in the Causse Mejan and Tarn and Jonte Gorges. We were not familiar with this unbelievably scenic area, but after spending 10 days here, we felt we had barely started to sample the many recreational trails and scenic drives available. The family provided excellent maps and brochures which helped us become familiar with the area. Hyelzas, the small hamlet the home is located in, has many interesting features including a historical farm museum, dairy sheep farm and sheep cheese facility, a network of hiking trails that can be accessed from the hamlet, very friendly residents, and a large cave only a few kilometers away. Overall this home exchange was a very enjoyable experience, and we would consider visiting this area again.
