Welcome to the wine country!
We are a family of 4. Tanner, 41, is an Art Director for a graphic design firm and has a passion for scuba diving, travel, and art. Margaret, 45, is a wildlife biologist and environmental educator and loves birdwatching, hiking, and adventure. We have 2 sons: a 10-year old (Zander) and a 6 year old (Cash). We both love to travel and we believe that travel changes your worldview and fosters appreciation and compassion for everyone, which is why we want our children to travel as well. We are very respectful, and will treat your home gently, as if it were our own.
We have a Volkswagon Jetta wagon that seats 5 for a possible car exchange. It is diesel, and gets great mileage. Also, we have a mellow indoor cat who is very low-maintenance and friendly. She sleeps in the garage and spends most days outside. We would ask that you fill her food and water dish once/week and feel free to pet her and give her love as she is very people friendly.
We have any kid-accessories at your disposal: a portable crib, lots of toys for kids, 2 car seats, 2 kids bikes.

We would love 2 weeks house swapping on the North or South Island of NZ during late December to early January.
We love to go to beautiful beaches, meet locals, and hike around native birds and wildlife. BUT we also love going to museums in the city!
We did a weekend exchange with Margaret and Tanner so we could be close to Kendall Jackson Winery for their Tomato Festival. Their home is very comfortable in a quiet residential neighborhood with a lovely backyard. They have a very sweet outdoor cat. Their home is within walking distance to downtown Petaluma where there are a lot of restaurants. We recommend it and would stay again. Barry and Holly Santa Cruz, CA
We stayed in Margaret and Tanner's lovely home in beautiful wine country. Their home was centrally located and close to many fun family outings in the local area, as well as within walking distance to a couple neighborhood parks. They had a nice organized binder with information about their home and local area. We also were able to sample some of Tanner's home brews! We spent one day at Sonoma Traintown and then went to a family winery (Larson Family Winery) where children were welcomed. We also spent a day at the beach in Bodega Bay, which was only a short drive from Petaluma. We had all the modern amenities we could want in their cozy home along with the bonus of lots of toys to entertain our children. They also had a great front and back yard! I'd highly recommend their home to anyone looking for a great stay in the wine country and especially for families with children!!
We stayed at Jennifer's lovely home last year for a weekend, and loved it! They are within an hour's drive of Yosemite, but we actually just explored Sonora. The gold country is beautiful, and we found a local snow park and gold panning park very close to the house. Her rooms were very clean and organized, and there were plenty of toys, books, and activities for the kids to do. Her master suite was lovely, and we felt like we were staying at a fancy 4 star hotel with the master bathroom. They have 2 cute and affectionate cats which were very friendly. She had a binder with lots of local activities for us to do, as well as a sweet note and bottle of local wine to welcome us. We would highly recommend this house for a gold country getaway!
We had the pleasure of exchanging with Margaret and Tanner in July 2014. We had a wonderful time. The house is exactly what they described, comfortable, perfectly situated in Petaluma. Our kids were so excited to find Lego and Star Wars toys to play with and my husband and I enjoyed sipping chilled Sonoma County wines on the peaceful balcony. We loved discovering the beautiful town of Petaluma and enjoyed quite a few of the restaurants! As we had exchanged cars too we were able to spend a few days in San Francisco. Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time was an awesome experience! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend an exchange with Margaret and Tanner - they were fantastic hosts!
This house was in a fantastic area on the Big Island - in the sunniest area, and close to many glorious beaches and beach resorts. The town was very close for buying provisions, yet it felt very relaxing and peaceful - being just far enough away from other houses. The home itself was clean and well decorated, free of clutter and nicely appointed. There was a full supply of DVD's and travel books, as well as comfortable bedding and anything you would need. We loved listening to the breeze and the geckos at night, and watching the gorgeous Hawaiian sunsets from the back lawn. Audrey and her family left us so many boogie boards, snorkles, bikes, etc. that the kids had plenty of stuff to play with to keep them busy. Her kitchen was equipped with anything you could need and we used the coffee maker daily. We enjoyed walks in the neighborhood, and the neighbors were very quiet and private. We would definitely do an exchange with Audrey again, and recommend their house highly for a fun and relaxing vacation in Hawaii.
We had a great time at Margaret and Tanner's house. Our kids LOVED the trampoline and we enjoyed the short walk through the lovely neighborhood to the nearby playground and public pool. Downtown Petaluma was so charming and relaxing and it was great to have the time to get to know this great little town and area. Thank you so much!!
