Exploring countries, cultures; documenting our experience in memorable photos

Exploring countries, cultures; documenting our experience in memorable photos

We love to explore regions of Europe, the UK, Southeast Asia, Africa, Australia and, in the future, will add Central and South America. During our winters in Mexico on the Bay of Banderas, we often arrange stays, including Spanish classes and day trips, in a variety of colonial Mexican cities with rich heritages. As much as we love day-to-day life based in our Casa Encantadora, we also welcome get aways that include opportunities to enjoy other exchangers' special homes.

If you don't want a standard beach resort vacation, then this is an excellent option. The home is in a real neighborhood with all necessary amenities including a lovely pool for when you don't feel like hiking to the beach. Spotless and comfortable, this casa suited us perfectly.

REVIEW OF ROGER AND SANDY’S HOME IN BUCERIAS: HOME ...

REVIEW OF ROGER AND SANDY’S HOME IN BUCERIAS: HOME EXCHANGE: ID124245 We've had many wonderful exchanges but this was one of our best…..everything we could have wished for and more. Roger and Sandy’s beautiful house in Bucerias, north of Puerto Vallarta, is decorated with much love and care in traditional Mexican colours, making it a welcoming, comfortable haven. And the very private pool certainly added to its appeal in the heat of summer. Bucerias was a delight…. a lovely little town on the Bay of Banderas offering a taste of the real Mexico. We shopped locally at the market; discovered many excellent restaurants; bought Mahi Mahi straight off the boats at La Cruz and lunched on the beach at stunning Punta de Mita, feeling the sand between our toes. Sayulita, San Sebastian and Puerto Vallarta provided excellent day trips. And we’ll never forget the views and afternoon tea at “Le Kliff” near Mismaloya and, of course, the friendliness of the Mexican people. Our exchange with Roger and Sandy was organised with ease as they were conscientious and frequent communicators. They did everything they could to make our trip enjoyable and unforgettable and provided much information on their home and the local area. They also took great care of our home which was in perfect condition when we returned. We would have no hesitation in recommending Bucerias and the Bay of Banderas as a wonderful destination as well as Roger and Sandy as ideal exchangers. What we said about Bee and Derek's house:

REVIEW OF BEE’S AND DEREK’S HOME IN TWIN WATERS, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA (HOME EXHANGE I.D. 4232): Words can’t say how delightful was our stay in Twin Waters and our exposure to the Sunshine Coast and charming inland towns and sights during our two-week stay in September of 2012. Bee personally greeted and oriented us to their comfortable, well-appointed, spacious, bright and immaculate before heading up to their other home in Brisbane. The beautiful home overlooks one of several gorgeous lagoons that connect to nearby Maroochydore on the sea. We enjoyed walks along the home-lined lagoons and through a park that offers workout stations and picnic spots. Three black swans greeted us each morning off the gorgeous deck. We loved nearby towns with pristine beaches including Peregrian Beach, Coolum and Mudjimba. We couldn’t get enough of the larger beach town of Noosa and the adjoining Noosa National Park, which includes a trail with glorious ocean views and access to two beautiful beaches. Highpoints included a visit to world famous Fraser Island via the Great Sandy National Park, and a fun rendezvous with Bee and Derek at Brisbane’s south bank commons (lovely park with man made beach and tree- and art-lined promenades) and on Mt. Cootha (overlooking the Brisbane skyline). Bonuses away from the Sunshine Coast included the charming towns of Montville (colorful shops and cafes), Maleny (enchanting view of the Glass House Mountains and eye-opening walk through a lush tropical rainforest) and Eumundi (huge, colorful outdoor market). Our largely unplanned days evolved into adventures, surprises and exposure to a very warm culture of welcoming locals. Seasoned home exchangers, Bee and Derek not only enjoyed their stay at our home in Bucerias, Mexico, but they left it as clean as they found it. We could not hope for a more reliable, joyous, value-adding exchange couple.
