Geocaching and stargazing

Geocaching uses GPS to locate small containers in parks, hiking trails, even hotel parking lots. We have found geocaches everywhere we travel, in town, across the US, and in Europe. We also enjoy the night sky, with small telescopes, binoculars, and naked eye, looking at star clusters, planets, and the International Space Station (ISS).

We loved our week at John and Jen's. Making arrangements worked smoothly and we happily exchanged cars. John answered all of our questions quickly. Their house is spacious and is very quiet. It was luxurious to be in a home so much bigger than ours for the week. The views out of the front and back are of golden open space hills so the coming home factor to their house is very relaxing and there’s a beautiful hike to take just outside the front door. It's minutes from the ocean (Montana de Oro and Los Osos where we spent lots of time). It's a great place to visit any time of the year because of the glorious climate. We enjoyed the Thursday night farmer's market and cooked lots of yummy healthy meals in their large well equipped kitchen.Their house is so close to excellent beautiful wineries with tasting rooms within a mile!

What we said about Eve and Marc's house:

We had a wonderful exchange with Eve and Marc. They were very easy to arrange things with, and we had no troubles at all. The house was comfortable, roomy, and very private, and we quickly thought of it as home. The location was a delight. We saw the deer somewhere in the neighborhood nearly every day. The views of the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peaks from the house were wonderful. It was a fantastic visit, with hiking, dining, shopping, mountains, museums, amusements, and a cave thrown in for good measure. Everything was so close, I think the only times we went more than five miles from home were to visit the Air Force Academy, and on the cog railway up Pikes Peak.
