We spent a fabulous week in Paul and Kerrie's house near Westerham in Kent. The house and garden were really beautiful, surrounded by fields and woodland and just a stone's throw from the lovely, typically English, village of Westerham. This is most definitely England and its best and I would recommend a stay here to anyone. It was a pleasure to set up the exchange with Kerrie and Paul who were absolutely charming and whom we were lucky enough to meet on our way home - thanks to the icelandic volcano! We found our home near Toulouse absolutely immaculate on our return. You wouldn't know anyone had been staying there. All in all, this was probably our best houseswap so far.

What we said about Bridget and Ange's house:

We had a lovely week in Toulouse in Bridget and Ange's house. It is very beautiful, the pictures tell the story but the peace and tranquility in the house was lovely. The area has lots to offer, and our favourite was the Airbus tour in Toulouse! Bridget and Ange and their 2 lovely children treated our house very well, and they were lovely people to arrange an exchange with. We ended up having to change our plans due to the volcano and ended up swapping cars and meeting face to face in a village in the middle of France, and this shows how accomodating and sensible they were. We would certainly recommend an exchange with this lovely family, especially if you have pets as the children like them. Their cat, Poops, is wonderful and will sit with you for hours is you let him. It was our first exchange and Bridget helped us through the process with calm and expertise. I thank them very much for a wonderful opportunity which we hope to repeat sometime.

A very nice home with large garden amidst pheasants, deers and hares. An ideal base to discover the surrounding castles and gardens that also offered a lot of play options to our 6 year old son. We have been excited by the many spring green, the flowers and landscapes. Thank you very much Kerrie and Paul!

What we said about Daniel & Fabienne's house:

We had a lovely week in spring in this comfortable apartment in Wengen. The location was lovely, close to the centre get very quiet. It is fully fitted with everything you would want to have. It was a great location for exploring some stunning scenery and the railways are so efficient you can travel far for day trips. Thank you very much Daniel and Fabienne.

I highly recommend this beautiful cottage in Kent. We had a fantastic holiday, the house is very charming and at the same time comfortable. The garden is beautiful and very relaxing after a daytrip, a highlight for us was that we spotted deers and pheasants on a daily basis around the house. Westerham and Kent offers plenty of opportunities for nice trips, we particularly enjoyed Chartwell the former home of Winston Churchill and driving around in the countryside. A trip to London is easy to plan by taking the train from Seven Oaks. Thank you Kerrie and Paul for a wonderful exchange.

What we said about Ron & Wendy's house:

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. We really enjoyed the Netherlands! We've only been to Amsterdam before so it was great to get out and see more of this country. We are complete converts and will tell everyone how great it is. The house is wonderful: spacious, well equipped, and architecturally stunning, there was everything to make your stay very comfortable and relaxing. Hilversum is a nice tone and the neighbourhood is beautiful, lots of very nice houses. We borrowed their bikes and this was a pleasant was to get around, as everyone in the Netherlands cycles everywhere! It's a week located town with very easy access to many places. We had a car but would also sometimes use the train, to get to Amsterdam, which wasn't far, and you could walk to the train station easily. We loved seeing not only the largest historical cities like Utrecht, or well known tourist spots like Edam and Gouda, but also taking Wendy's recommendations to see more local places like Naarden, Muiden, Blariucm and Laren, or hiring a small boat and going up the Vecth which was wonderful. In a week we visited more famous places like Delft, Leiden, Gouda, Edam, the flower auction at Aalsmer (highly recommended if you fancy an early start), the Haag, Haarlem and a great beech Nearby, Enkhuizen, it is very easy it get around although we don't have kids and had a car is that might mean we went to more places than most, but we couldn't get enough of all the lovely places! We stayed a week and feel thoroughly relaxed and loved seeing all the beautiful houses everywhere. A great place to stay! We are so glad we made the exchange. Their cat is friendly too! Wendy and Ron shared some great tips which really made our holiday special. And obviously they took great care of our home and cats too.

Christine from Blauzac said

Kerrie & Paul's house is everyone's idea of a classic English cottage set in a really beautiful garden with lovely views of the garden and countryside beyond. We saw a fox, deer & pheasants. The house is warm and comfortable; we felt really at home. The area is lovely - so many places to visit and the village of Westerham is delightful. Paul & Kerrie were great hosts & perfect guests, leaving our home immaculate. We hope to exchange with them again.

What we said about Christine's house:

Christine and Robert have a wonderful home in a beautiful part of France. The house is gorgeous! We could have stayed longer each day on the terrace and watched the scenery. The location is great as it's easy to get to larger towns and places of interest and them retreat into their peaceful home. The kayaking on the river down under the pont du gard was a highlight we would recommend. Fabulous hosts, thank you.

What we said about Nathalie et Michel's house:

W had a lovely time in Bourges. It is a great location for visiting the Loire: Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume are about 20 minutes away thought lovely countryside. I am surprised that more people gave not heard of Bourges as it is a very pretty mediaval town. Nathalie and Michel's home is very spacious and makes for a wonderful base to explore the town centre and the surrounding villages. It was only a few minutes walk into town where there are many restaurants and bars to enjoy. We also love their cat! Thank you for taking such good care of our home. Kerrie and Paul
