We had a great time in Clary and Eric's home. The house is charming, warm and comfortable with a fully stocked, beautifully remodeled kitchen. We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood, the State Capitol and Sutter's Fort. We walked everywhere. Cute neighborhood shops and cafes. We were very happy and really appreciated getting to meet Clary and her family before they drove to Pacific Grove. Communication prior to and during the exchange with Clary was friendly, easy and clear. The Teppers took amazing care of our home and cat.

What we said about Amara and Dave's house:

We had a wonderful stay at Dave and Amara's lovely, centrally-located home. We were delighted to have a chance to meet them and found them to be a warm and gracious couple willing to extend themselves in all kinds of ways--from giving us extensive lists of things to do in the area to leaving small gifts for our children to open. We learned long ago that Pacific Grove is the best town to stay in to visit all the Monterey and Carmel attractions, and Dave and Amara's house is perfect--they are walking distance to the ocean, great restaurants, shops and the aquarium. To top it off--we came home to find our house absolutely spotless!

We stayed 3 nights at Clary and Eric's river house in Duncans Mills and had a wonderful time while they were at our home in San Francisco! We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying sunny winter days and also really enjoyed using the canoe for lazy times up and down the river with our 3 year old. There are a lot of great hikes nearby and the house is equipped with everything we needed including a nice welcome bottle of wine! Lots of great toys to keep our son busy. Thanks!

What we said about Amanda's house:

We stayed at this wonderful home in San Francisco while the owners stayed at our vacation house on the Russian River. We loved the Victorian architecture along with the renovations that provided all the modern amenities. Huge picture windows in the dining room looked out onto an oasis of a backyard and the light and bright kitchen made it a pleasure to cook. Our kids appreciated the toys (which were all neatly organized) and we appreciated being able to read while they were happily occupied! I also loved having access to an elliptical exercise machine set up in front of a TV and blue-ray player. The Glen Park BART station was a easy walk from the house and we were able to zip the few stops into downtown in a flash. The owners of the house provided local area info along with maps to nearby attractions (including a great playground we never would have found on our own). The owners were incredibly easy to work with in setting up the exchange and they were gracious hosts, greeting us with a bottle of wine and homemade cookies. We have done many home exchanges in San Francisco and this is one we would love to return to in the future!

Our recent trip was filled with wonderful delights. The cottage was as described, located on the banks of the Russian River,it was nicely remodeled with beautiful ceilings and moldings. It had a spacious cottage feel. The first night we roasted smores around the fire pit and watched the ever-moving river. We thought we might use the kayaks and other boats the next day. There were four people in our group and enough sleeping room for all. The master bedroom opened to the deck and the river view, which was gorgeous at any time of day. We played board games and my young nephew also enjoyed some of the children's toys. Across the street are some green hills on which cows were grazing. They were so close; it was wonderful and added to the country feel. The kitchen looked out to the large deck and the river and the views from the upper level were just great! We also did a beach trip It was a windy day in January, which did not detract from the beauty of the coastline. We also stopped in quaint town of Guerneville with its laid-back attitude, friendly population, good restaurants, wine-tasting and redwood forests, and liberal atmosphere. We browsed the shops along Main Street for a while. Sonoma County boasts astonishing geography, landscape and climate. Beginning at the Pacific Ocean with its rocky cliffs and sandy beaches, the county rolls eastward up coastal mountains of dense redwoods, then inland to gently inclining grassy hills and valleys dotted with stately oaks and fragrant bay trees. Duncans Mills is nestled among the redwoods, vineyards, and Pacific Coast in beautiful Sonoma County; With a population of 85 the town has a unique mixture of antique and specialty shops, restaurants and galleries. The restored railroad station stands proud. We could go on, but not enough space left..you must experience it for yourself. We appreciate the hospitality of the homeowners who offered their home to us. Best wishes & happy travels. Russell Family.

The Russian River is so beautifully peaceful, and Eric and Clary's home is perfectly positioned right on the river. We loved sitting around the firepit on their patio, admiring the view, listening to the birds, and feeling so relaxed. They offered lots of ideas on local things to do, and recommended a great hike at nearby Shell Beach which we really liked. All the arrangements for the swap were made smoothly and easily, and we enjoyed our stay!

What we said about Jay and Julie's house:

We spent several very relaxed days at this lovely home. It was near all the attractions we wanted to see (taking the light rail into downtown San Jose was both simple and fast) and our kids loved the beautiful, heated pool in the backyard. The back patio made a wonderful spot to read and enjoy the back yard landscaping. The owners were incredibly gracious, organized and easy to work with in setting up the exchange.
