We had a non-simultaneous exchange with Kelli and her family in December 2012 and March 2013. Their home is centrally located in a pleasant, primarily residential area of San Francisco with a corner grocery and great restaurants a short walk away. The bus and cable car lines couldn't be closer (barely a minute walk from the front door)! We walked and took public transportation every day except for a day trip to Sausalito. Their home was clean, comfortable, stylishly decorated with all the modern amenities you would expect. Our son had a great time with all the toys and communing with the chickens. Kelli and her family are conscientious exchangers and they left our home in great condition. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this exchange for others.
An absolutely beautiful home in a wonderful, quiet, family-friendly part of San Francisco. The owners were great to work with in setting up the exchange and they left our house absolutely immaculate after the exchange. Our kids loved the toy room and the chickens in the backyard, while we loved the space to spread out, the lovely kitchen (and the fresh eggs!), the wonderful artwork on the walls, how clean and organized the whole place was and the fact that we could walk to restaurants and parks. For bigger excursions, it was easy to take public transportation from the front door (or walk 10 mins to BART) and we got lots of great recommendations from the owners on where to go. Definitely one of the best home exchange experiences we have had!
Thank you, Forde Family, for the most perfect home exchange in Noe Valley. We loved your quintessential San Francisco home, charming neighborhood, easy access to public transportation, and the effortlessness of working out our mutual exchanges. Your home was a real treat. Just walking up the stairs and into the front door we felt like we had arrived in what one would hope for in San Francisco -- beautifully decorated, expertly painted, and attention to detail in every interesting space. The vintage structural details were well appreciated (floor plan, windows, molding, fixtures, flooring) – as well as the well-appointed remodeled kitchen! And, the view from the living room window was transfixing – looking out upon the amazing twin spires of St. Paul’s Church. We were equally thrilled to experience Noe Valley for the first time. We discovered that it is one of those beautifully-historic neighborhoods in San Francisco that has amazing architecture, great local shopping (and eateries), with a cool and safe street vibe. We had easy access to the “J Church” MUNI -- just a block away. We were able to make our way to Chinatown, AT&T Ballpark and Golden Gate Park without having to get in our car. Coming from Los Angeles that was indeed a real treat! Thank you again for your kind and genuine hospitality. You were also a very perfect house guest – leaving our home in tip top shape and making the most of your time in our city. We sincerely hope to make another exchange with you in the future.
