Welcome to Amsterdam!
We are a young family with one 2 year old son, named Max. Tim has his own company in web development and Eveline works in banking. We love travelling and sailing.
We will treat your house as if it was our own and expect the same from you :-)
We love sailing and own a 26-foot sailing yacht which is docked in the marina 5 minutes walking from our house. If you are also a sailor and own a boat, maybe we can do an home and/or boat exchange.
We've spent a few days in IJburg, in the house of Eveline, Tim and their son Max. We have met each other on the day of the exchange. Eveline and Tim are very nice people. We felt very welcome in their home. And they own a beautiful, large house with lots of space. The neighborhood is very quit. But you do not need to go very far to have a nice meal in one of the many restaurants. The public transportation to the center of Amsterdam is just around the corner! In 20 minutes you are standing in the center of Amsterdam. When you want to visit Holland and especially Amsterdam and environment, this is the family you want to make an exchange with! We had a wonderful time. eveline, Tim and Max, thank you very much for this pleasant experience. Who nows, in the future, we'll do this some more. Gerard, Miriam, Reena and Nino
We had a wonderful stay at the lovely house of Miriam and her family during Easter 2014. The house is very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Our hosts were very friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed the large garden and were treated with fresh eggs from the chickens. The Holterberg is closeby and offers great walking and cycling opportunities.
We had a lovely exchange with Eveline, Tim and little Max. As we live in the country it's a real pleasure and adventure to explore a city like Amsterdam together with our girls. We had a lot of fun visiting all kinds of musea, shops, riding our bikes, etc. The house of Eveline and Tim is a nice and quiet place to return to after every day full of activities! It's situated in IJburg, an Island with - obvious - a lot of water, space and air. There is a tram and a bus very near the house, so there are different easy ways to reach the city centre. Eveline and Tim are clearly experienced house-swappers and arranged a very practical house manual; we felt at home very quickly and could find everything we needed. Actually, we would love to visit IJburg some time in the summer, so we can try the beach that's created there. Nice, nice, nice!
