I have always been curious. The fact that I come from an ancient culture but migrated to the new world has also contributed to my sense of curiosity. Travel has enabled meeting new people from different backgrounds and experiences that feed into my imagination. I love interesting urban areas, exploring nature and also culinary experiences.

We staied at Anitha's home during one week in July 2010: it was wonderful. The house is very clean and nice, very well located near Berkeley's University and many shops and restaurants, and Anitha makes everything to make you feel comfortable. We really had a great time there, and are happy to keep in touch with such a respectful and nice swap partner.

We are a family of 3 with one 6 ys old girl and had a marvellous non-simultaneous exchange experience with Anitha (and her friend Diane who did the holiday in Vienna, Austria togehter with her). We feel like friends now after having the best holiday ever and experiencing their warm, generous and caring personality in 3 ways: 1. to begin with the warm and kind and caring communication with Anitha before and during our exchange, 2. the hospitable stay at Antiha's amazing, high standard house, which charms with an outstandingly positive, sound and cosy atmosphere 3. being topped by meeting Anitha and Diane for dinner face2face (unfortunateley the only time we met): bright, open, clear-thinking, warm-hearted ladies. Anitha's house is in a safe and calm surrounding, in walking distance to the main shopping and restaurant area in Berkeley, near the university campus and to the train to SF (no need for a car). We felt at home from the first day on, were warmly welcomed, had an intense leisure time in SF and Berkeley following some of the many good tipps and tour recommendations Anitha prepared especially for us, taking our interests into account. We decided for the SF public transport ticket which includes access to several museums. Do not miss Californy Academey of Science - for all ages to learn more about earthquakes, the sea and the planet all over with a lot of fun. BERKELEY IS a GREAT place to experience both, the university city and San Francisco. Anitha is the BEST EXCHANGE PARTNER ONE COULD IMAGINE. Anitha and Diane prooved to be experienced and very respectful exchange guests at our home. Anitha showed us how to improve our preparation and caring for exchange guests by her role model and impressed us by her open and kind personality. We came to the US as strangers and left as friends. Recommendation!

Our exchange with these home-owner was very pleasant and we highly recommend them as home exchange partner. She was extremely helpful in assisting us in finding fun and interesting things to do in their neighborhood and in the downtown area. We had a lovely time in San Francisco and Berkeley and spent the days with visiting the downtown in addition to visiting a few museums and wonderful places. She was very welcoming and accommodating, and took the time to introduce us to local architecture, customs, and foods. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. She was also wonderful guest to have in our home and she showed a great deal of respect for our home and our belongings. We have formed a special friendship with her and we hope to exchange with her again some day. Thank you for that great exchange. We've enjoyed the time in San Francisco!

What we said about Monika's house:

Monika hosted me and a friend in May 2012. She has a beautiful flat in Prague, located in an excellent neighborhood. We were able to get to the center by metro pretty quickly. The metro stop is only 5 minutes walk from the house.Monika's home is well appointed, organized and very comfortable. She is an excellent host. She was so generous with her time and helpful. She spent time showing us around Prague, helped us with our travel arrangements, over and beyond one would expect. We came as home exchange partners and left as friends. Thank you!! I highly recommend Monika's place if you are considering an exchange.

Visiting the bay area not necessarily implies staying in San Francisco: we picked instead the more quite, though charming town of Berkeley (location of the prestigious branch of the University of California) just across the bay. In doing so we have been definitely lucky to run into Anitha: she is the most reliable, interesting, open minded and pleasant person to be with. She has been very helpful during trip planning and during our stay warmly welcoming. It's a joy to have know her and we look forward to keep in touch in the future! Her house is cozy, charming and really tastefully decorated. At the same time the house is really confortable, practical and well equipped. A special note for the garden surrounding the house, well kept, relaxing, shady and colorful. Berkeley is well and easily connected to downtown SF by the fast and frequent BART trains with stops within an easy reach from the house;however there is a lot to see and do in town as well and the services are all walking distance. An higly recommended choice indeed a wonderful experience and top exchange!!!

What we said about Always ready to take off's house:

We exchanged with Andrea in May 2014 when I traveled to Rome with my mother. The entire exchange experience was very smooth and positive. Andrea was very prompt and clear in his email communication. We were warmly welcomed at the airport on our arrival in Rome by Andrea. He was very supportive throughout our stay. The residential neighborhood of Monte Verde was very pleasant with greenery and access to public parks. All amenities including public transportation is at the doorstep. I particularly enjoyed the walk to the Vatican, the view of Rome from Gianicolo and Villa Farnese. The apartment itself was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. I had the pleasure of meeting with Andrea and Massimo when they were here in Berkeley. I found them both very easy going, interested and interesting. They were perfect exchange partners and left my house in impeccable condition. Andrea is a very warm and friendly person. I am happy to have met him and I look forward to keeping in touch. If you are looking for an exchange in Rome, look no further!
