Greetings from one of the most desired places to live- Asheville, NC!!
We have lived in Asheville for 25 years. Steve is an operations manager for a manufacturing plant and Christi is a 6th grade Language Arts/Social Studies teacher. We have 3 wonderful children, ages 16-21.Ashley works in Charlotte, NC. Tyler is a sophomore at ASU in Boone and is learning how to ski up there. Weston is an HS junior who is a gifted athlete and loves most any sport, but particularly loves basketball and baseball. We enjoy doing things together as a family and creating fun memories!
We love living here! We often remind ourselves of how blessed we are to live in such beauty every day. We want to share that blessing with you! Since our children are growing up so fast, we want to travel to areas where they have never been. We also love the beaches in NC/SC/FL.
We do have a dog, Ollie, but we would make other arrangements for him while we are away. We would consider allowing pets if your home allows our house-trained cocker-poo.
We will take top notch care of your home, as we would expect you to do the same with ours. We have had five successful home exchanges and it only makes us want to continue-it is such a practical idea and it doesn't leave your house seeming "unoccupied." With the state of our economy, it makes sense to save on vacation lodging and have the comforts of home at the same time! You'll find that lodging rates are very high in this area ($150 min./day per hotel rooms) because it does draw many tourists, so we hope we can accommodate you so that you can use that money for fun activities instead.
We have lived in Asheville for 20 years and still love it! To drive anywhere and have mountain views is always an added bonus! My husband is the Operations Mgr. at a company here and I am a middle school teacher. We have 2 teenagers and 1 middle schooler who each have different interests, so it keeps us busy trying to support them.
We were given Red Sox tickets for July 27, so we would like to take a long weekend to go to the Boston area (i.e. July 23-July 28, 2009). Please help us fulfill a dream of one of our boys!
July 7 — August 10, 2014 These dates are flexible
The summer months are preferable for us, but we are also open to weekend getaways during the school year. Since this is our primary home, we prefer simultaneous exchanges.
July 2 — July 8, 2014
We have a family reunion up there that week and would be glad to consider a simultaneous exchange during that time period.
