We are New Yorkers by upbringing and education who now live in the Washington DC area.
Jennifer is a retired psychologist and full time artist very active in the Washington DC art scene. Check out her web site at jenniferbeinhacker.com. Our home reflects her art. I am a soon to be retired eighth grade public school teacher, teaching World Geography, in an International Baccalaureate local Arlington public school. Although ours is a wealthy county my school represents its diversity with children from dozens of different countries: Mongolia to El Salvador and Ethiopia to Pakistan.
Our primary passion is our eight year old grand-daughter (we are blessed because our son and his family are just minutes away) followed by travel. We have lived and worked and traveled in Europe. We have taken the train from the far north of Vietnam to its southern Delta. We have attended Shiva celebrations throughout India. We have followed the route of the Maya through the Yucatan into Central America. Recently we spent over six weeks in West Africa which included boating the Niger River to Timbuktu.
