- Julia Documentary Film Producer (25)
- Yvain Animator (35)
Hello fellow home swappers!
We are a couple with no children or pets (but huge animal lovers!). We love to travel and have been all over the world--throughout Europe, China, India, Indonesia, Tibet, Ghana, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, the Caribbean, etc. We have done many home swaps and are now hooked. We have also done many home stays either as exchange students, guests, or through airbnb. We have hosted couch surfers as well.
Julia is an American who is currently working in documentary film. Yvain is from France and has been working in the United States for 7 years as an animator.
In Los Angeles, we have two separate apartments, so we are pretty flexible when it comes to facilitating an exchange.
We love all types of cheese. The stinkier the better!
This cozy one bedroom apartment has everything my wife and I needed. The location is terrific with easy freeway access and just a few minutes drive from the beach. Julia was out of town when we arrived but she made sure we had everything we needed from wok to wifi password. Her place is great for a single or couple who want to be close to all the L.A. action, especially the beaches. We can't wait to stay at her place again!
Dan and Sandy are great exchangers and I look forward to exchanging with them again. They were clear communicators before and during the exchange and it was a pleasure spending time with them. They are an outgoing couple who are very easy to talk to. When they stayed at my place in LA, they left it in immaculate condition. When I stayed in their bungalow in Chiang Mai, I had a great time and they really made me feel at home. They picked me and my companion up from the airport and showed us around. They really know their neighborhood inside and out and I felt like I got to see a type of "neighborhood life" in Chiang Mai that I would have totally missed if I had stayed in a hotel. One of my favorite parts of Chiang Mai was learning to ride the motorbike with Dan. If you have a chance to take his lesson, do not pass up on it! I would definitely recommend exchanging with Dan and Sandy, you will not regret it!
