G'day & love from Australia!!
Hi, we're Linda & Ian and we're lucky enough to live on an amazing patch of earth in Perth with our golden cockier spaniel Lola. In July 2016 we'll be traveling with our friend Sarah and Oli, our 20yo son, to Germany for the wedding of our eldest son in Koln. Last year we experienced our first Home Exchange in Portland, Oregon. It was absolutely perfect for the four of us to be in a home together as we'd travelled there for the wedding of our middle son. The wonderful couple we Home Exchanged with in Portland are due to arrive here next month for their turn : )
We love yoga, meditation, being resourceful, designing houses, listening to music (most sorts), movies (making & writing them occasionally too!), karaoke-for-therapy and social justice!
This year Linda is project managing the building of a small eco-house close to the coast in Yanchep. It's a beautiful location and the house will be our primary home one day. Ian is CEO at Central Desert Native Title Services, an NGO that supports Indigenous Australians reclaim rights over their traditional lands. Sarah is an artist and a primary school teacher and Oli is studying Creative Advertising at Curtin University.
If you home exchange with us you will have a number of places to stay as Sarah's beautiful home is in Albany on the south coast of Western Australia and we have our city home (in Mt Lawley) and by next year, our home in Yanchep less than one hour north of Perth.
We hope we have inspired you to consider Home Exchanging with us. We look forward to hearing from you soon : )
July 18 — August 1, 2016 These dates are flexible
A simultaneous exchange is preferred but not necessary.
Our love of being resourceful and eco-friendly began in the 80s with our architectural design business and we remain inspired by being creative with furnishings, food, fashion and fun! The homes we have created are a reflection of this passion so they're pretty quirky but comfy too. We get lots of lovely reviews from happy guests who stay with us or in our other short-term accommodations. The photo below was taken in our Cheetah Cave!
