Hallo from Wonderful Copenhagen
We are a family of 4, Susie, Kasper and our two children, Oliver 16 y.o. and Alberte 14 y.o. We love to travel and experience new cultures, places and people. The experience we have by staying in a private home, makes our holidays special. With a long career in design, i.e. as Creative Director at LEGO and Novozymes, we are very interested in design, architecture and art. We enjoy both experiences in the countryside and in the city. We will treat your home as if it were our own, and our house and lovely garden are available for your holidays in Wonderful Copenhagen.
The house of 170 m2, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bright and open living rooms and nice bathroom, is located in the green and quiet district Vanløse just 10 minutes drive from Rådhuspladsen and Tivoli Gardens. With just 1 km to Metro, it's easy to get around in Copenhagen. The perfect base for exploring Copenhagen and enjoy all its attractions.
We love to experience the local area and is particularly interested in design, art and architecture. We are also an active family and enjoy cycling, hiking and water sports
We had a good time in this cosy apartment (the first & second floor of a house) in Copenhagen. The living area is divided in four parts and has comfortable and tasteful furniture. The green garden is very private, on the corner of the street (the downstairs neighbour -who was not present during our stay- has it's own garden). It now has a big trampoline too, our daughter enjoyed it a lot. I loved reading books in the greenhouse when the weather wasn't nice enough to sit in the garden. The area has appartmentblocks as well as quiet streets with freestanding houses like these. It is on the edge of Frederiksburg, a nice area close to the center. It took about 15 minutes to cycle to the center. Although the metro station is at walking distance, we always used the provided bikes (and our car to Amager Beach / Bellevue Beach / Louisiana museum). The parking in the street is free. We stayed for two weeks and despite bad weather in the second week we haven't been bored for an minute. Copenhagen is a very interesting city which feels a lot like our hometown Amsterdam. But on the contrary of Amsterdam, the city of CPH tries to prevent excessive tourism in the city, making it a pleasant place to stay (Tivoli and Nyhaven are very crowded though). It has a swimming pool in the harbour, modern architecture and design, and of course the 'freetown' Christiania. Do take into account that the price level is pretty high. The communication with Kasper was very good. His family met us upon arrival and left for our house in Amsterdam after that. Kasper provided us with advise for things to do and was very responsive. We would recommend this home to anyone.
