Welcome from a beach community in Los Angeles!
HI! We are excited to share our home with you and the wonderful beach city we live in. My husband and I both enjoy adventure and travel and are open to interesting places. We love outdoor sports of all kinds, especially skiing and water sports, and love city culture like museums, opera, and art. We can lend you surfboards which you can grab and walk to the beach. (5 minute). You can watch the sunset over the ocean while you drink a nice cocktail on our roof deck.
Redondo Beach is a fantastic area and with a house so close to the beach you can't wish for more. We were able to use the cars and bikes, which gave us the opportunity to see so much of the beautiful LA area. The house has a wonderful rooftop with a fantastic view of The Pacific Ocean. There's a lot of fine restaurant and cafe's in walking distance and the airport is only 20 minutes drive away. Beth and Joe is a very nice and helpful couple, we were very good informed about the neighborhood.
We have spent an excellent and a great moment at Redondo Beach in Beth and Joe's house. Their house is big with a terrace where it’s possible to take lunch in family. The district is residential and quiet. The house is close (5’ walk) to a quite beach. The neighbours are very nice. The main advantage to be at Redondo Beach is that we were at 30-40 minutes of Santa-Monica, Downtown, West Hollywood, Park Griffin, Long Beach... this location is very central to visit L.A. area !! There are a lot of shops near the area. Highways (405-610-705 or 110) are close and accessible to go out of L.A. to go to San Diego, Las Vegas or Santa Barbara. A magnificent view of the sunset on the roof of the house of Beth and Joe. We were delighted with this exchange and highly recommend it.
We loved our stay in Fontenay sous bois. It's a great jumping off spot to visit all of Paris and the surrounding areas. The apartment is a ten minute walk to the train (RER), a fast train that connects everywhere. Within a block is the grocery store Monoprix, a boulangerie, and several restaurants. Our favorite was a Moroccan couscous restaurant with a charming garden that is open for long hours. Cathy and Fred were very helpful laying out walking maps of Paris and providing details and answers to our questions, as well as a welcome package when we arrived. The bottom line is that we were delighted with this exchange and highly recommend it.
