We would prefer at the moment to go somewhere Italy - but are open other suggestions including the South of France. Dates are slightly flexible. We would be more interested in a village or countryside exchange rather than a city, if possible.

Especially Passionate About

Cooking and relaxing.

Sometimes we like to get out of the city and climb up a mountain or hike through a bog, at other times we want to head to a new city and get to know it sample the cultural highs (and lows), eating and drinking our way across it. At other times we will just want to head to a beach and relax. So I don't think we have a perfect destination, it will depend on what we are doing. We have a great place to visit in a great part of town with lots of things to do.

We spent nice holidays in London in the house of the wonderful family: Ben, Lindsay and Ellis! We really enjoyed the house, it was very comfortable and it has a wonderful garden. It was very easy to visit London from the house which it was in a very quite neighborhood. We felt like our house. It was our first exchange and we liked very much the experience. They took a great care of our flat and we found everything clean and tidy.

What we said about David & Ester 's house:

We had a lovely time in Vic in David & Ester's comfortable apartment in the heart of the town. Their garden offered a welcome place to relax after one of our many trips out of town either walking around Rupit, in the pretty hills, or around the historic town. David & Ester were great host leaving lots of helpful suggestions. It was a great first house exchange for us, thank you!

We had a wonderful, friendly and easy-going exchange with Lindsay, Ben and Elis on their beautiful Hackney home. The house is tranquil and sunlit and very comfortable with a wonderful little garden and set in a quiet residential area that is very well connected to the center of town. The kids loved the playgrounds in the park about 3 minutes walk from the house as well as the one on London Fields which is a 10 minute walk away. Setting up the exchange was very easy and everything was prepared upon our arrival and the US friends Lindsay and Ben travelled with to Berlin left an abundance of little present to the kids and left a very yummy home made banana bread for our return home. A wonderful experience all along, thank you Lindsay and Ben!

What we said about Anne's house:

Anne, Konrad & Josephine are lucky to live in their beautiful modern house in the heart of Berlin. Her multi-level home is an architectural triumph full of light and warmth, concrete modernism offset with art and comfortable furnishing. It was almost worth going to Berlin just to stay there. The house has been built just next to the site of the wall itself in Mitte, busier by day with people walking the wall, the residential area is quiet at night. It is a short walk from there to some lively streets where you can eat and drink and shop for something if you need or want to. We found something fun to do at most times of the day.To walk to the city centre takes about 30 mins and the U-bahn_was about 5 minutes walk so you feel very connected to the city. I responded to Anne's enquiry and within a week we had pretty much everything arranged and agreed on. Anne's English is perfect so all communication has been a pleasure for us - and of course puts us British monoglots to shame. Elis, our son, spent many hours reading in their hanging chair and along with the rest of us had a fun couple of hours in the sauna - oh and the coffee machine was great too. Thanks for the exchange it was tip top!
