We had never been to Berlin and were surprised how much there is to do and see there. Every day we took the convenient public transportation to visit a different part of the city, the museums,(the Music Museum was our favorite) the parks, the palaces the street music, the delicious food and the informative English speaking tours that gave us a real feeling for all we saw. Our tidy apartment was comfy, the flowers on the large lanais and the trees everywhere were so beautiful. Our hosts had left wine and food for us and we had a real adventure. We highly recommend this exchange property. Happy Trails, Joy and Bob

What we said about Bob & Joy's house:

We stayed here for three weeks in May 2010. Our exchange war a complete success! Their apartment is so wonderful and unique, the location perfect and the view over the Tampa Bay is indescribable. Close to their apartment is a small plaza including with a nice cafe and bio market. To recommend are the restaurant which are quite close. The beaches (e.g. Redington Beach) are 40min by car away but the way straight, diverting and when you are interested in shopping than you will have some plazas on the way. What can we say- it was a totaly amazing vacation!!

What we said about Gerlinde's house:

We spend almost 3 weeks in September at Goetz' and Sigrun's comfortable apartment. Although the district of Zehlendorf is on the outskirts of Berlin it is super easy to reach the city center with S-Bahn and buses. In fact, one of the buses stops directly in front of their house. We had arranged a car exchange, but only used the car a few times during our stay. The apartment is modern and offers everything for a comfortable stay. Lots of light comes through the big windows and while the days were still warm we sat outside on the big balcony. The location of the building is incredible, just across the street is a beautiful park and only a short bike ride away are two lakes with clear water for swimming. Lake Wannsee is a short trip by car, S-Bahn or bike. In walking distance are several supermarkets and nice restaurants. The communication with Sigrun via email, phone and text messaging was easy and we felt as if we know them personally at the start of our very first home exchange. They also left our home in Colorado in immaculate condition. It was a very positive experience and we would hope that all future exchanges are as enjoyable as this one.
