Welcome to the Pacific Northwest.
Mark and I have been home exchanging since 2007 and have enjoyed traveling across the United States, Canada and France. We enjoy outdoor activities (hiking, kayaking, skiing), visiting historical sites, and touring National Parks.
We love visiting National Parks and enjoy hiking while there.
We stayed at Mark and Weedy's vacation home in Hood Canal for 3 nights after a very active and busy 2 days at Great Wolf Lodge. They were easy to communicate with and were so organized so it was no problem getting to the house and checking in without them being there. Once we arrived, we felt instantly welcomed by the notes and treats that were left for us. The manual outlines everything and anything you'd need to know about the home itself and the area. The house is located right on the water with breathtaking views everywhere you look. and has everything you need for both indoor and outdoor activities. They have kayaks, paddle boards and even water shoes if you need them. The kitchen is fully stocked complete with an old fashioned popcorn maker and a Mickey Mouse waffle maker which we took full advantage of. We were even able to make smores over a bonfire using their fire pit. The kids were ecstatic! We even collected oysters right off of their beach. Delicious! There is lots to do in the area. We took a lovely hike nearby. We also visited Hunter Farms to see the baby goats and pigs and their ice cream is the best we ever had! We had a wonderful last minute stay at Mark and Weedy's. You can feel the memories that have been made in their home. It is truly a magical place and we felt lucky to have been able to experience it. Thank you Mark and Weedy. You are the perfect hosts. We hope to be back again one day!
