Was Sie an dieser Unterkunft lieben werden

Our three-level home is spacious (300 sq m/3000 sq ft), contemporary in its design, has spectacular mountain views. and has been featured in national design magazines. The main (entry) level consists of a large dining-living room (photo above) and kitchen, all of which face the view, a child's bedroom, a full bathroom with bath and shower, and a guest toilet. The upper level has the main bedroom with a king bed and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. The lower level has a guest bedroom with a queen bed and exercise equipment. The house has a baby-grand piano, harpsichord and the usual array of top quality appliances. The garden is highly unusual, featuring a landscape maze with sculptures, water features, large pond with koi and turtles and a waterwheel. At the bottom of our property you can access the Trans-Canada Trail, a famous national walking and biking trail that goes literally from the Pacific to the Atlantic.

We live in Burnaby, a separate city but basically a suburb east of Vancouver. From our house you can drive to the downtown in less than 30 minutes, the local ski-hills in less than an hour and Whistler (North America's top ski resort) in less than 2 hours. Our home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of a forest, and every now and then we see bald eagles spiraling overhead. Local shops are 5 minutes drive away. Vancouver has a spectacular setting, offers unparalleled outdoor recreation opportunities, and is large enough (about 2 million) to support a wide range of cultural activities whilst not being so large that it is overwhelming. Vancouver’s boast is that it is possible to ski, sail and golf on the same day. It is unusual amongst North American cities in that there are a large number of people who live in the downtown area (from all income levels) resulting in a city that is alive at night, and is one of the safest cities in North America. Vancouver itself is a major tourist destination, but it is also a great base from which to explore the Canadian Rockies, Vancouver Island and Victoria, the Gulf Islands, Seattle and Portland. One of the advantages of Vancouver for international and United States visitors is that the costs for just about everything (skiing, restaurants, hotels, etc. ) are lower than those of the United States and most of Europe.
