The house is quite spacious, with 2 large porches for sitting outside and enjoying nature. There are songbirds galore, deer, groundhogs and a family of foxes. This house is in a rural farming community. Our neighbors down the road are friendly. It is extremely quiet and private. The nearest town with groceries, a pharmacy, a seasonal ice cream stand and some small shops and restaurants is about a 20 minute drive. The nearest large city is Lafayette, home of Purdue University. Lafayette has many more places to shop, eat and some entertainment, as it is a large, international, university town, There is also the beautiful Turkey Run State park about 40 minutes away, where you can hike into canyons, paddle by kayak or canoe, swim in the pool and enjoy nature. During summer months, you might find an old fashioned county fair or 4H Fair. The farm is a quick 2.5 hour drive from Chicago. Our primary residence is in Oak Park, and may also be available for a visit.
