Our home is one of the most beautiful in Brattleboro. A day room with 25 feet of floor-to-ceiling windows looks out over trees, town, and the Connecticut River to a gorgeous view of Mount Wantastiquet in New Hampshire. The living room is cozy and warmed by a beautiful gas fireplace. The main bedroom has a stunning view through french doors and a "Juliet balcony." Step outside to dine on the terrace or soak in the hot tub, or hike the miles of trails that begin at the edge of our yard. Built over 100 years ago and continually improved since then, it's a joy to be here, inside or out.

The best location in Brattleboro! We're in a sweet neighborhood with both privacy and friendly neighbors. The woods are just outside our door and yet we're just a 10 minute walk to the center of town. The woods provide many miles of gorgeous hiking trails without having to get into a car. Or walk to town for a great coffee (3 excellent places), restaurants and cafe's, music venues, art galleries, and more. For a town of 12,000 Brattleboro supports an incredible amount of arts events. When the weather is warm, you can have breakfast on the patio looking out at Mount Wantastiquet, and then walk to the top of Mount Wantastiquet right from home, stopping in town for a cappuccino at an outdoor cafe on the way there, and a beer at a brewpub over the Connecticut River on the way back. In the winter, you can snowshoe through the woods out back, straight from our house, cross-country ski in nearby woods or fields or take a short day trip for downhill skiing at Mount Snow or Mount Stratton in the Green Mountains. We're a short drive down Interstate 91 from the Pioneer Valley in Massachusetts and the 5 college area with more cultural opportunities to offer. And no matter what time of year, everything is beautiful in every direction, and different every day.

Super comfortable queen bed in the main bedroom. Pull-out double bed in guest room is very comfortable. Deluxe queen air bed w/ memory foam topper turns the downstairs "room with a view" into a fabulous en suite bedroom. Single airbed can sleep next to another bed or go in the office. Wifi is solid throughout house and on patio. House is well heated in winter and air conditioned in summer. Kitchen is oddly laid out, but with state-of-the-art appliances.
