Our beautiful recently renovated home is a three story house located in Port Moody, British Columbia. We are only 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver and 2 hrs. from Whistler/Blackcomb year round resorts, and 3.5 hrs from the Okanagan. Two beautiful beaches, White Pine Beach and Buntzen lake, are only 10 minutes away, as is Rocky Point Park which has a lovely family friendly sea shore hiking trail and splash park, and swimming pool. There are also several other parks on the ocean within 15 minutes of our home and hiking trails within walking distance. A 12 hole executive golf course and a full size world class 18 hole golf course are minutes away (Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club). A recreation center which is 5 minutes away has full gymnasium facilities, hot tub, tennis courts, and a soccer pitch. There is grocery shopping nearby and a large modern shopping mall 10 minutes away. There are several good restaurants in the area as well. Our rapid transit system "Sky Train" is easily accessible at the front of our house and it will take you to downtown Vancouver and directly to the airport. There is a hospital 5 minutes away. Our house which was architect designed has three floors and is 2000 square feet (180 m2) in area. On the first floor is the main entrance. There is a cozy TV/entertainment room with a comfortable leather sofa and love seat, a large screen plasma TV & XBox. Also on this floor is the office with a desk top computer and spare refrigerator. On the second floor (main floor) is the modern gourmet kitchen which was recently renovated. It is very well appointed with a gas stove top and electric oven, modern refrigerator, and dish washer. There is a small dining area in the kitchen which will seat 4 comfortably, as well as a small screen TV. We are both gourmet cooks so we spend a lot of time in this room. The large front deck is accessible from the kitchen where one may enjoy the lovely view. Adjacent to the kitchen is a spacious dining area with a new dining table which will sit 6 comfortably. It also has a butterfly leaf which will extend the table. Next to the dining area is the cozy living room with a wood burning fireplace, sofa, love seat, & arm chair. There is also a stereo system and a piano that needs tuning. There is a set of french doors that lead to the large back deck and private back yard. There is a wood pellet grill and a charcoal BBQ here. You might even see deer wandering through to munch on leaves and flowers. Much to our dismay, they like to come and eat our plants. The back yard is surrounded by natural vegetation and very large Douglas fir trees. There is also a bathroom with washer and dryer on this level. On the third level are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed, an en-suite bathroom, and large closets. The second bedroom has a comfortable double bed, large closet, a pupils desk, and a lovely view. The third bedroom has a fold out futon and closet, as well as a lovely view.

Our house is situated in the Vancouver suburb of Port Moody, only 30 minutes east of Vancouver by car. Our home is nestled on the side of a heavily forested mountain. We have Douglas Fir trees reaching to a height of 30 metres or more. The neighborhood is very clean and very safe and close to a hospital and 5 minutes to the ocean. It is not unusual to spot wildlife in the area. This is a great hiking area with many easily accessible trails of all levels.

Private back yard in the midst of nature and only a 30 minute drive to the beautiful city of Vancouver. We love our large terrasses where we can sit and listen to the birds, read, entertain friends and and share bbq meals. Our home is spacious and warm. We enjoy our lovely kitchen where much time is spent preparing gourmet meals and entertaining family and friends Our city of Port Moody is an active community with many events happening year round. Hiking trails, the ocean, and golf courses are readily accessible. We have the mildest climate in Canada.
