Was Sie an dieser Unterkunft lieben werden

Comfortable, sunny, lots of plants! 100 year old cherry tree. Hardwood floors throughout, granite counters, heated bathroom floors (upstairs), gas stove, quiet street with huge leafy oak trees.Guests love the convenience of the house to Hastings Street which is kind of a cross between a British High Street and a US Main Street. No need for a car. One bedroom on the main floor with a queen size bed, sofa in the living room. The bathroom on the main floor has bathtub/shower, toilet, and sink. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom with a queen size bed has an ensuite bathroom with a toilet, shower,and sink. The other two upstairs bedrooms have double beds and a desk, and share one bathroom with a bathtub/shower and sink. Additionally there is a writing pavilion formerly called the playhouse which has electricity, wifi, a desk, a lamp and large glass doors that open onto the garden. A nice, quiet place to write or study. Some years we keep bees in the backyard, depending on our travel plans. We have had bees for many years. If you have bee allergies in your party be sure to let us know so that we can make other arrangements for the hives.

Walk ability score is very high. Specialty Italian deli Cioffis, produce markets, the famous PearTree Restaurant for special occasions, coffee shops (Starbucks, Artigiano, Waves & more independent cafes) and lots of restaurants: Chinese, Japanese, burgers, noodles, Vietnamese, Sushi, pizza -high end Sotto and low end Fresh Slice, while our favourite pizza is Stan’s, Brazilian cafe, Greek Tsfinaki, donairs, French Chez Meme and Chez Christolph, Gray Olive serves avacado toast among other things and Anton’s-Italian which always has a lineup because of their huge portions. Glenburn is a retro style ice cream shop while there are several gelato/cafes all within 15 minute walk. Admiralty is a local pub with music on the weekends, and there are two hookah lounges. We have used bookstores, a thrift store, pharmacy, antiques, vinyl records, craft and gift stores, clothing stores, lots of hair dressers and barbers, including a retro-style barber. Everything is basically a 15 minute walk! Walking distance to many parks, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, track,water park, swimming pool, library, On Hastings Street swipe your credit card on the R5 bus direct to downtown Vancouver in 6 stops from Gilmore/Hasting: Kootenay Loop; Nanaimo; Commercial Drive; Main Street; Abbott; Granville St; Burrard Station(last stop).Bus runs every 7 minutes during rush hour. The TransCanada Trail renamed the Great Trail is 7 minute walk from the house where several tree houses were built(see photos); easy access to freeway to Whistler, Surrey,US Border, or Coquitlam,Maple Ridge,Abbotsford/Hope. Skytrain station at Gilmore@Lougheed is 25 minute walk or bus. Also The Amazing Brentwood mall and skytrain station is 30-40 minute walk or take the bus there. Lots of public transport options as well as Uber or taxis.

Zusätzliche Informationen

Our home was just used by Disney Oct 2002 to film the pilot for Never Game, a new tv series. They told us that our house has soul! They used the living room, family room, and upstairs master bedroom.
