Our log home is the picture of tranquility. As you round the bend of a private gravel drive, our home comes into view, just past a pond, tucked into a small gorge. Step out of your car and up onto a wrap-around porch with a beautiful view of the surrounding valley. As you enter our home you will feel the cozy and comfortable atmosphere right away. The two story great room offers tall picture windows, bringing the outdoors in, and includes an eat-in kitchen with all of the regular amenities. In the great room there is a TV with satellite, offering over 100 regular and movie channels. The sofa pulls out into a queen sized bed. Off the great room there are 2 bedrooms. The first has a queen sized bed and picture windows, the other has two twin sized beds. There is a downstairs bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. A full-sized washer/dryer are also on the main floor. The upstairs holds the master suite with a king sized bed and TV, also with satellite. There is a small deck off of the master suite that faces the cliff front. The master bathroom has a jacuzzi tub, sink and toilet. All of the rooms come with their own bedding and the bathrooms come with towels and basic toiletries. There are a Pack & Play and jogging stroller. It is for all purposes a home away from home, ready to be enjoyed. We enlarged the second story deck off the master and added a 6 person hot tub. To be in in at night and look up at the stars is magical. Not to mention romantic.

Whether you are looking for privacy and relaxation, or hiking and rock climbing this is your place. This is the picture perfect "cabin in the woods." Our log home rests up against a rocky bluff with views of a small waterfall and pond just outside of the large picture windows. It is part of an exclusive cabin community a little off the beaten path. We are just a few miles from Natural Bridge State Park and Red River Gorge. This area is a well kept secret among avid rock climbers and hikers because of it's natural rock formations and breathtaking views. Canoeing, kayaking and other river activities are offered in the area as well as horseback riding. It is the nature lover's paradise. You may also enjoy exploring the nearby towns, in which you will find charming diners and friendly locals. If you are a horse lover, be sure to visit nearby Lexington--famous for their equestrian museums and shows. It can be a place of peace and reflection or constant activity, your choice.

Our names are Tom and Kris and we live in Cincinnati, OH. We have 4 grown children, three of which are now married. OH. Tom, Sr. is a veterinarian and Kris is a retired nurse who stays busy with church and the grand kids. We built our cabin as a place for our family to gather now that our children are living throughout the country. We love the outdoors, and we wanted a place to get away from the distractions of our everyday lives. We found the perfect hideaway, with beautiful scenery and of course room for the grandchildren who number 7 with one on the way.
