Our home is a 3 storey spacious freestanding Victorian house, built in 1890 with 11 foot ceilings and original marble fireplaces. It has been lovingly renovated to create a comfortable family home, which has featured in several TV commercials.

After a hard day at the beach, there’s nothing like coming home, jumping in the pool and then sitting round the table enjoying a family BBQ. You can even pick home-grown herbs from the garden - rosemary for your lamb or basil for the pesto sauce.

We’re an outdoor loving family so the garage has bikes, masks, snorkels, fins, surfboard, boogie boards, kayak, wetsuits and walking boots that you are very welcome to borrow - sunscreen, beach towels, they’re all here. All you need is your cossie and a pair of shorts. Camping gear is also available if you fancy a weekend away from the city.

Clovelly is a small seaside suburb with a village feel and is surrounded by seven of the Eastern Suburbs most beautiful beaches, which are all an easy 10 minute stroll or drive away.

If you like your surf big, head off to Bronte which also has a beautiful, safe rock pool to swim in. Clovelly beach is a safe, sheltered beach with no surf and children love it here, swimming and fossiking in the rock pools. If you go
snorkelling make sure you look out for Clovelly’s most famous resident, a friendly big blue groper called Bluey.

Gordon’s Bay has a tiny stretch of sand but is a famous snorkelling spot and has an underwater trail for divers to follow.

Coogee beach has small surf which is perfect for boogie boards and bodysurfing.

If that’s not enough beaches, the most famous beach in the world, Bondi, is 5 mins by car or a 40 minute stroll away along the famous coastal cliff top walk - add more time during whale watching season, you'll need to stop and marvel at the antics of the whales. This magnificent walk takes you along the cliffs and bays of this world famous coastline, including Tamarama beach (or Glamourama as the locals call it).

Maroubra beach (10 mins by car) is longer than Bondi, and is Australia's second only National Surfing Reserve.

City living certainly has its attractions when you look at the new Westfield Bondi Junction shopping centre, which is 10 minutes by car (15 on the bus) and offers over 440 stores from Aveda and Armarni Exchange to Allanah Hill and Australian Geographic. Hip strip shops include Norton St Grocer (great deli selections) and edgy boutiques like Zimmerman and Karen Millen.

Foodies will love local restaurants, just a walk away, from the award-winning Swell restaurant overlooking Bronte beach to La Locanda for an authentic Italian.

And only 30 minutes away from Clovelly is the CBD, perched on the world’s most beautiful harbour, where you can catch a water taxi to theatres, restaurants and the Opera House.

We can only travel during Australian school holidays.

But we're also keen on weekend swapping within 3/4 hours drive of Sydney.

We're keen to visit the South Island of New Zealand.

At the moment, any time after Christmas 2012 and before 22 January 2013 would be perfect. I'd also like to take my sister and her husband so we'd need somewhere that slept 6 people.

I'm an advertising copywriter/screenwriter and my husband has his own advertising business. We have two daughters (17 and 15), a chocolate labradoodle and two Silkie chickens. The dog and the chickens can go on holiday too if you prefer more freedom.
