Our Home
This house is our dream home, built in 2002 when we retired to Sedona. It is an attractive pueblo-style modern, open, spacious and well-kept, with all the amenities you might want. All is comfortable, convenient, and easy-care. There are about 2800 sq. ft. on two levels, including three bedrooms (one king and two queens) and a fourth bedroom with a queen-sized sofa bed (new hi-tech mattress with air cushioning - very comfy) and office wall. In addition, there are large upper and lower decks which feature unparalleled views of Sedona's famous red rock mountains by day (and since Sedona is a "Dark Skies" city, amazing star-gazing at night) plus ample seating, propane grill, hot tub/jacuzzi, chiminea and outdoor heater for cool evenings. Most rooms have oversized windows to bring those great views right inside. We have WiFi so you can keep up with the rest of your life...but once you settle in you probably won't want to!
In addition to simultaneous exchange, our situation is also great for a non-simultaneous exchange or hospitality for two, as our new guest suite with its own bath, deck and kitchenette is on the downstairs level - a soundproof elevator ride away from the main living areas.

Our Neighborhood
We are located on a hillside in gorgeous Sedona, Arizona, overlooking Oak Creek and spectacular red rock views. (Sedona was voted the nation's number 1 vacation spot in 2008.) Our house is about 1 mile from the center of town at the end of a private road. It is within walking distance of Oak Creek, where you can enjoy uncrowded rustic swimming, wading and communing with nature. Our established upscale neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are friendly and helpful.
Shopping, from souvenirs to unique art, jewelry and clothing creations by talented local artists, fine and casual dining, outdoor activities - hiking, biking, Indian ruins, wilderness tours, and more - can all be found within a mile or two. Sedona is also home to world class golf courses, restaurants, spas and art galleries, and you will find a variety of new age and spiritual offerings. For dates of our popular special events such as the Sedona Film Festival in March and Jazz on the Rocks in late September, check out www.gatewaytosedona.com/CalendarOfEvents or www.sedonachamber.com/index Sedona welcomes many visitors every year, so it offers a selection of advantages and five star services not found in most small towns, while still maintaining a casual, friendly Western tone. Contact us and we will ask the Chamber of Commerce to send you a 90 page color "Sedona Guide" magazine describing all of Sedona's wonders.
As for day trips, there are many: Grand Canyon (& its new Sky Walk), the Navaho Nation, Jerome (funky old mining town),the Hopi mesas, Sunset Crator, Lowell Observatory, Walnut Canyon National Monument and Lake Powell with its gorgeous Rainbow Bridge and slot canyons, and if you miss city life, Phoenix is less than two hours away.

Our Destinations
We would love to visit in Italy (Umbria, Tuscany, Rome) or Spain with a 2-4 week simultaneous trade in the spring, late summer or fall. Dates and specific locations are flexible. In addition, we are always interested in the U.S., particularly northern VA - DC area, and NC/SC - Ashville or coastal beaches, as we have children there.

About Us
View Feedback About My Exchanges
We are Peter and Marilyn, retired professionals who have made Sedona home for eleven years. Peter's first novel, The Stasi File, was published in 2009 and he is ready to distribute a sequel, between running and playing tennis. Marilyn plays tennis too, is always trying to improve her Spanish, reads a lot, and occasionally does consulting and/or editing for clients.
We take very good care of our property and will do the same for yours.
