The flat is in the center of Barcelona in the typical area of the "Eixample". Our apartment is quite big (150 m2) and it's a typical old Barcelona flat which has been totally renovated 8 years ago. It's very typical of the "MODERNIST ART PERIOD" and very charming (even though it means that it has some inconvenients such as dark bedrooms). It's a fisrt floor with elevator. We have got 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a nice kitchen, a large living-room and a very large "patio" (terrace) which is very difficult to find in the center of Barcelona and absolutely lovely during the summer.
We have many plants on the terrace (looks like a quiet garden !) and an automatic watering to take care of them.
Many toys and books and DVDs for your children to use ! and internet access.
We have a housekeeper that can come if you need.

Our apartment is situated in a vey nice and calm area where live mostly spanish families. Our street is not touristic but there are several bars with terrace and gardens in the area (Paseo San Juan). We are at walking distance from most of the main interesting points of the city : right between the Sagrada Familia (15mn walking) and the Gothic area (15mn walking); also close to the Ramblas (20 mn walking) and the Paseo de Gracia (about the same) where are the houses of Gaudi. We are also at about 20/25 mn walking from the beach and the famous Olympic port. We are very close to a metro station (Tetuan) and to the train station "Arco de triumfo" with trains to the nicest little towns of south and north Barcelona such as Sitges, Castelldefels, Garraf etc...Living in our home will give you the real feeling of being Spanish/Catalan but with possibilities to visit everything very easely. Barcelona is both a city and a sea resort which will give you the oportunity to visit museums and buildings of great architectural interest and to relax on the many beaches of the town or even to escape to the fisher villages south Barcelona.

We are a french family but we live in Spain since 1992. Michel and Isabelle came here to spend a year and just fell in love with the beautiful city of Barcelona and it's lovely way of living...we've never left since then ! Michel is manager of a world wide business travel agency and Isabelle is an English teacher for little kids. We have 2 children : Marie (15) and Nicolas (13) who speak French, Spanish, Catalan and quite a good English. We like to travel very much just the two of us or with the children, and we have traveled already in many countries, including a 3 months tour of Europe in a mobil home in 2003 and a one month exchange with a family in L.A (USA) in 2007 and several other swaps since this first experience. A part from traveling we like music (we are all musicians in a diferent way : cello, piano, guitar and singing... and one of our bedrooms is a music studio) horse-riding and tennis. We would take great care of your home since we like ours very much. We think that exchanging is a very good way to know a country from a local point of view since you share not only a home but also a human experience with another family..and that's what we like !
