Our home is a towhouse situated in the very heart of an old Catalan village whose Church is renowed for its 12th century sculpture.
The house is 2600 sqft (240m2) on 3 levels and has been completely remodelled and decorated in 2011. Back in 1850, it was used as a barn for horses and housed grape pickers. A wisteria was then planted and it is still here in the house but it's a tree now! its trunk starts on the lower floor, it goes through the wall and comes out to cover the patio upstairs!
Dowstairs is the garage, laundry+ a 645 sqft (65m2) room.
The second floor features a wide open space with kitchen+livingroom that opens to a patio with barbecue, a great sitting area you can enjoy under the shade of the 100 years old wisteria.

Three bedrooms +2 baths are also on that floor.
Then the study is on the third floor.

Cabestany is 5 min from Perpignan, 10 min from the beaches, 30 min of Ceret, the beloved village of Picasso and Braque, 2 hours from Barcelona Spain and the Dali museum.

Cabestany is a typical Catalan village close to all facilities.
From the house, you can walk to buy your baguette and croissants, go to the butcher's or go and get your newspaper, your basket of fruits in the morning.

Our location is a 15 min drive from the beach, one hour drive from the Pyrenees and a two hour drive from Barcelona, Spain. Also 3 hours from French Riviera, 2 hours from Montpellier or Toulouse. Paris is only 1 hour by plane!
Loads of exquisite places to visit such as Fortified city of Villefranche, Cathare Castels, abbayes, the city of Collioure and amazing landscape where mountains dive into the sea. Many wineries to visit

We are a couple in our early 40s with 2 children, aged 16 and 13. We love travelling and have exchanged our home on several occasions. My husband is a helicopter pilot and I work as a freelance translator. We enjoy good restaurants and decoration.
We spent 5 months in San DIego in 2009, the kids went to the local school and we had the most amazing time!

We are non smokers and we're used to travelling abroad.

We have a dog "Vixen", an adorable golden retriever.

We are open to short or longterm swaps with any English speaking countries. We would like to stay in Spanish speaking countries too. Actually, we'd like to go everywhere! We're very open so try us!
