The Home
Our house was built in 1904 and has late Victorian and Craftsman architectural influences popular in Seattle at the time. The house has just over 3000 square feet (280 square meters) of living space, 9 foot high ceilings, and charming period details.
There are 5 bedrooms: 2 king size beds, 1 queen, 2 full size, and 1 twin bed. We also have two folding mattresses that are great for kids. The main floor has a formal entry way, a living room with gas fireplace, a spacious dining room, a bathroom, a modern kitchen, and a deck that is perfect for casual dinners or enjoying a glass of wine. Internet access (both wired and wireless) are available.
The house is located in North Capitol Hill, one of Seattle's oldest neighborhoods and home to some of the city's most beautiful and grand homes. Volunteer Park is about 200 feet away, and we are a short stroll away from restaurants, pubs, shops, movie theaters, and grocery stores. We are steps away from bus lines to downtown, Pioneer Square, Pike Place Market, Seattle Center, the University District, and Madison Park.

The Neighborhood
Capitol Hill is a thriving urban center with a mix of old and new Seattle. It's one of Seattle's largest and most diverse neighborhoods. To the north where we live, you'll find quiet residential streets lined with century-old fir and cedar trees and turn of the century mansions. The business districts on 15th Ave and Broadway are home to cozy neighborhood restaurants, shops, cafes, pubs, and grocery stores. To the south is the Pine/Pike corridor where you'll find a wide variety of restaurants, dance clubs, music venues, bars, tattoo parlors, and hipsters.
Attractions in Capitol Hill include Volunteer Park, Cal Anderson Park, The Arboretum, the Seattle Asian Art Museum, Seattle Central Community College, Cornish College for the Arts, and the Richard Hugo House.
There are numerous recreational opportunities a short distance from Seattle. We are a 1 hour drive from the Snoqualmie ski area, 2 hours from Stevens Pass and Crystal Mountain, and 3 hours from Mount Baker. Mount Rainier is a 2 1/2 hour drive. Bainbridge Island, Vashon Island, Whidbey Island, and The Olympic Peninsula are just a ferry ride away. We are a short drive from numerous beautiful day hikes of all different levels of difficulty.
