Imagine waking up in a tropical Paradise beckoned by the rustling of the palm trees in the tropical breeze. You walk onto the balcony of the master bedroom and gaze over your private pool and garden to the ocean that lies just in the distance...

This authentic Panamanian villa is a 4 Bedroom 4 Bath 2 story 350 meter/ 3700 square foot home with private pool in the seaside tropical paradise of Playa Blanca. It is situated in a private gated community with 24 hour security.

Located 120 KM from Panama City and adjacent to the popular all-inclusive Playa Blanca Beach Resort and Hotel, it offers 4 Total bedrooms: 3 Bedrooms with ensuite bath upstairs and 1 bedroom with bath just outside the bedroom downstairs. The Villa is less than a 5 minute walk to the expansive Pacific beach and surrounded by tropical foliage, flowers and palm trees. In addition, there is a community pool with Barbeque area for exclusive use of Villa owners and guests.

The entire home is custom decorated, including accessories from Thailand, Bhutan, France, Italy and Hawaii. You will find attention to detail that is occasionally whimsical, yet always tasteful, reflecting the seaside lifestyle.

The master bedroom has a King size bed, large ensuite bathroom with private balcony with hammock overlooking the lush landscape, pool and ocean. The theme is "World Traveler" and combines elements of both Africa and Asia. There is a roomy walk in closet and a terrace directly in front of the bed. You will wake up to a view of the ocean and palm trees...

The 2nd bedroom is equipped with 1 double bed and 1 twin trundle bed and ensuite bathroom and plenty of closet space! This room has a Morrocan theme with rich hues of Burgundy and Gold.

The 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds with ensuite bathroom and lots of closet space as well. Here you will find hand painted bamboo walls and a crisp blue and green decor that reflects the freshness of the tropical seaside location.

The 4th bedroom, located on the entry level is off of the living room and has a queen size bed and bathroom just outside the room. This room has a distinct tropical flair in hues of green accented with a bamboo.

The kitchen opens to the living room and dining room and there is a breakfast nook with hand painted bamboo walls that opens to the patio overlooking the private pool. The pool and grounds are made more private with a tasteful wall to the left of the pool, and with numerous palm trees and tropical plants to the right. We just planted 30 Chinese pine trees! Although they are now just saplings, they will grow quickly into a stately and beautiful natural border....we can't wait to see the result in a few more months!

The country of Panama is gaining widespread international recognition as a cosmopolitan center for both business, and warm tropical vacations. With rain forests, mountains and beautiful beaches located on two oceans, the Pacific and the Caribbean, Panama is the newest "chic" international destination spot for families, couples and solo travelers. Imagine being able to swim or dive in both the Pacific and the Caribbean in the same day! It can be done in Panama! The vibrant area known as Playa Blanca Resort is popular with both locals and as an International vacation destination. The New York Times and National Geographic (Best of the World 2012 issue) have listed Panama as one of their top travel destinations.

Activities available at the resort (charge) include horseback riding on the beach, boating, jet skiing, sea kayaking, zip-lining, all-terrain vehicles, hiking, waterfall and rainforest excursions and much more. English is spoken widely at the resort where you can purchase all-inclusive day and evening passes for meals, drinks and entertainment for the family if you choose, which is a wonderful option and just a 5 minute walk. Family entertainment (including kids show and activities)is available throughout the day and evenings at the resort and are included as part of the passes. Teens will enjoy the vibrant pool area of the hotel where there are constant activities and music under the supervision of the high energy and competent hotel staff. Parents can be sure that there will be something for everyone! Car rental, beauty salon, massage and a convenience store is also located at the resort. There is a golf course 2 miles away, along with additional food and dining options at other resorts and at individual restaurants along the Pan American highway. The volcanic mountain region of El Valle is 45 minutes away, and makes a perfect day trip. At roughly 3500 feet, you can see pine trees and palm trees growing side by side...this is quite a unique thing to see! You'll find spas in El Valle where you can take a true volcanic mud bath before heading back to the beach.

The immediate area of Playa Blanca is expanding its international presence as Wyndham Grand, Riu, and Marriott have been developed along this lovely stretch of beach. Yet, there are still expanses of undeveloped beach for long walks and beach combing.

Please note that the Christmas/New Year time is incredibly popular, and the most requested exchange time.Typically, the Villa is occupied during these times, however if there is an intriguing exotic international or domestic exchange involving private horses, we are open to ideas!

Our dates are flexible and we are open to any possibility for available dates of travel...send us an intriguing idea! We also have a 3 bedroom 3 bath 180 degree ocean view condo near the Villa (see photo) that is available for exchange or rent if you have a large group traveling at the same time. We can accommodate up to 15 with this option.This works well for family reunions or corporate retreats, where everyone can convene at the Villa and the grounds then go back to separate accommodations.

Open to any dates

We are open to adventure in exotic international destinations! This year, we are particularly interested in The Italian Lakes in August/September 2013 however we love to explore....even if it takes a day on horseback to arrive at your place, we are up for the adventure!

Domestic exceptions would include destinations with horses, scuba diving and/or snow and water skiing. A summer family exchange on a lake with a boat or a ranch with riding nearby would be lovely! We owned a waterski school, so we are very competent with waterski/wakeboard boats, if you have one. We also love culture and history, and are are interested in just about every intriguing international destination. There are frequently just 2-4 people and occasionally 6-8, depending upon the destination and time of year. Either way, your home will be kept with the utmost care and respect.

We are Kit and Tim from California. We found Panama to be an incredible country for many reasons, including a developed infrastructure and welcoming attitude and we hope you will too! We have varied interests, especially water sports and Panama offers so much to do and to see both in, under and out of the water! We love the outdoors and horses and ranches have a special place on our "wish list" too!

The majority of the time, there would be the two of us traveling, or with another couple. However occasionally (summer and school holidays) the kids, (ages 10-15) might be with us depending on the location and the time of year. They are very respectful and well behaved. We love animals and are happy to care for yours (allergic to cats however).
We don't have any pets at the villa, and we have staff to assist you, so just relax and enjoy!
We do not smoke, and take pride in our home and will always do the same with yours.
