We're architects and have built our house in 2005.
It is a very modern, rough, concrete house with loft character and it opens to the calm neighbourhood and a big, old linden tree in front of it. The house has a quite spectacular facade of reinforced plastic, gained several awards e.g. the 3rd prize of the "häuser award" in 2008 and was published in many architectural magazines during the last years.
The 190m² apartment is located on the first and the second floor with a big roof terrace, from which you have a beautiful view.
The first floor includes two children and one guest room, a bathroom and a toilet. The heart of the house is a friendly multi-purpose space whith an open kitchen area, a large table, a sofa and stereo. A generous void connects the first floor to the second floor. The master's bedroom and a second bathroom are located on the second floor and orientated to the roof terrace.
On the groundfloor there is an architectural office which usualy is busy. Stuff will friendly help you, if necessary.

the domicile is located in the middle of the little, medieval centre of Dachau, with its shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, its typical Bavarian beer garden, its old Wittelsbacher castle with a historic park that allows a marvellous view to Munich and to the mountains.
the domicile is a perfect base for active visitors who are interested in sightseeing and culture of the great Bavarian capital, Munich, and its surroundings with so many interesting events and gorgeous spots.
10 miles to downtown Munich, which you can reach within 30 minutes by S-bahn transit, that runs nearly every 10 minutes, 5 miles to the wonderful castle of Schleißheim and its huge baroque park, about 15 fast miles to MUC int. airport, about 30 miles to the famous lakes Starnbergersee and Ammersee, and about 60 miles to the fringe of the Alps and the city of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze, Germanys highest mountain.

we are a family of four, parents (Dorothea and Konrad) and our two children 16 (Jakob) and 20 (Pauline) years old. Jakob goes to school in Munich and uses the S-bahn transit every day. Pauline studies vetenery medicine at LMU University in Munich. Our architecture studio is located on the ground floor, the domicile is above. We are also teaching at university.
We are all interested in sports, foreign countries, cities and culture.
