Acreage home with swimming pool, Balinese hut with fully equipped bar, close to white sandy beach, golf and shopping and loads of tourist attractions but far enough away for a relaxing tranquil holiday.

Our 4 bedroom home is on an acre located in beautiful Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The main bedroom has a king size bed with ensuite. Second bedroom has a queen size bed with ensuite. Third bedroom has a king size single and and the 4th bedroom has a king size single and a cot. We have a fully functional study with DSL internet, computer and fax machine. Our kitchen is very modern with black granite bench tops, gas cook top and stainless steel fridge with water filter and ice maker. We have a 50” plasma television in the TV room with pay TV (60 channels) DVD player with home theatre surround sound system. The kitchen has granite bench tops, stainless steel applicances, dishwasher, industrial capaccino machine (EXPOBAR) and is fully equiped. We have a HUGE swimming pool with solar heating and a fully equipped Balinese hut adjoining. This area includes IPOD speakers, CD/radio sound system, fridge, dishwasher and sink. Enjoying a sunny afternoon around the pool and hut is like being in your own tropical resort (without all the other tourists). Between the house and the pool is a great undercover area with table and chairs to make the most of Queensland’s outdoor living experience.

The Sunshine Coast has an overall population of 250,000 and stretches for approx. 50km starting from Caloundra at the southern end to Noosa in the north. There are dozens of beautiful beaches, tourist attractions (including Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo) and quaint hinterland villages all within 30 minutes drive.

The town of Buderim is situated on Buderim Mountain and is usually a couple of degrees cooler than the surrounding beachside towns of Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Noosa. The town has retained a village atmosphere and sense of community with small shops, cafes and tavern, however a major supermarket is located in the town for all the necessary grocery shopping.

The Sunshine Coast enjoys a sub tropical climate all year and many people (especially from cooler areas) swim all year round. Winter temps range from 10-25 deg C (48-76F) and summer from 20–30 deg C (67-85F).

Brisbane (Queensland’s capital – population approx 2.5million) has all the usual facilities of a large city including plenty of opportunities for large-scale shopping -if that is what you would like to do. There are also museums, art galleries and restaurants, as well as beautiful parks close to the river. We are one hour north of the Brisbane International Airport and 15 minutes from the Sunshine Coast Domestic Airport. You can use our house as a good base to explore the areas you want to! The Sunshine Coast is really a very central location to be able to see and do the many activities that there are on offer.

VEHICLES FOR USE
We have two vehicles that you could use during your stay. One is a white 4WD(SUV) Toyota Prado and the other a gold FWD Toyota Hilux ute. We are happy to discuss car exchanges.

CLEANING
We can arrange a cleaner to come once a fortnight if required.

BABYSITTING
If this is required we can also give you numbers for local babysitters we have used.

We will make sure basic needs of bread/milk/tea & coffee are available for you when you arrive so no need to rush to the store on arrival!

We keep a clean, neat and tidy home and hope you can too!
If a smoker please only smoke outside the home. We will provide ashtrays.

We love to travel and are aching to get back into it but have been waiting until our children are at a great travelling age. We consider ourselves very respectful and honest people. The concept of exchanging will bring us so much fun and laughter, flexibility with our young family and the opportunity to make some wonderful new friends and explore fabulous places, most of which are far removed from the usual tourist tracks.
