Our Home
Our house is a century-old greystone townhouse, renovated with open areas and exposed joists, about 1600 square feet on two floors. Comfortable and spacious for a family.
Upstairs are two bedrooms (one with double bed, the other with two twin) and a big sunny open area for relaxing and play, looking onto the terrace which is a wonderful place to eat in the summer and a restful snowscape in the winter.
Downstairs is a living room with piano, a little den with tv, dvd, and stereo (and a sofa bed for extra sleeping), and a large bright dining area opening onto the kitchen.
There is a small shady yard off the kitchen with a spiral staircase to the terrace.
There is a bathroom on each floor, both recently renovated.
You can be comfortable here with children- the house is basically child-proof with gates for the stairs.

Our Neighborhood
The Plateau Mont-Royal is a great neighbourhood, lively, walkable, and central. It has been named one of top neighbourhoods in North America, and after visiting we hope you will agree.
Our house is steps from Mount Royal avenue, with its restaurants, bars and shops where people stroll in all seasons. We love to cook and there are plenty of fruit & vegetable stores, a great butcher, wonderful bakeries, health food stores all within a short walk.
A wonderful large park, Parc Lafontaine is only a block and a half away. This is a beautiful place in all seasons, with huge old trees and something for everyone. In summer, we enjoy the playgrounds and supervised wading pools for children, and the two duck ponds for strolling and relaxing. There's a place for playing pétanque (we can lend you our balls), picnic areas, and always something to look at because jugglers, musicians, roller skaters come here to practice. In wintertime there is a free skating rink on one of the duck ponds as well as a hockey rink, and a sledding hill.
A great place to live, we are also centrally located for visiting the rest of the city. Mount Royal metro station is only ten minutes' walk away (or you can get there by bus). By metro you can go downtown, to theatres, to Old Montreal, Chinatown, etc... In fact we often walk there (about half an hour to the Latin Quarter).
We would leave you our bicycles (with removable children's seats). Our house is only one block away from a bike path that connects to the city's cycling network.
