Renovated funky 1950's beach house. Large verandah to relax on with a beer or wine and enjoy the beautiful view of the bay and mountains. Small individual spa bath to soak in after day at the beach or hiking around headlands, national parks etc.Family home, welcoming and comfortable for that aussie adventure & experience that unique lifestyle. Barbeque on the veranda or enjoy pizza from woodfired oven in backyard. Large yard for kids to run free in. 4 extra large bedrooms, 3 queen beds and 1 double. (Our older kids are always returning with friends!) We are always entertaining visitors as we are halfway between sydney and the queensland gold coast & everyone loves this area!
Our home is a family home filled with my kids treasures, shells collected at the beach etc and presents made at school! It is a home to relax in and enjoy your holiday. Whilst we don't have expensive furniture or artifacts we do appreciate others. Our home seems to be where all our friends come for holidays so we can offer you relaxation!

Scotts Head (pop 800) is a small scenic coastal village renown for its great surfing beaches. The mid north coast of australia truly has the most beautiful beaches in the world! Watch the resident dolphins frolic, spot a turtle, catch the magnificent humpbacks migrating from July to Oct, fish, canoe or just laze around. We are surrounded by forests, river systems and farms yet are only 1 hour from Coffs Harbour which is full of tourist attractions. If you want a relaxing holiday or are planning traveling the eastern coast of aus don't miss us! This holiday could be as busy as you like or as quiet as you want, it is up to your imagination.

Scotts Head has a supermarket, butcher, baker, bottleshop, 2 cafes and a small takeaway and a local fisherman selling fresh seafood.We also have a bowling club with evening meals.
Macksville is 10 minutes away and here you will find Doctors and a larger shopping centre. Nambucca is a very picturesque town with beautiful beaches and a magnificent river system, it also has a cinema.

Coffs Harbour is a well known tourist centre with many attractions. Our international visitors all have loved the Pet Porpoise Pool where you are totally interactive with the dolphin and seal show. This is a must see for families, it leaves the expensive larger shows behind particularly wonderful for small children!!

Port Macquarie is one hour 10 mins south of us and also has an airport. It is a very beautiful area with lots of museums, art galleries, nature reserves and a fabulous koala sanctuary which the kids would love. So come see for yourself!

We love home exchange and are open to most locations. We have a private flat downstairs and happily stay in that if our exchanges are not simultaneous. This has worked really well for our visitors from Ireland, France, England and Canada.

We both work part time and usually travel around European summer dates. You are welcome to visit anytime of the year except the Christmas week as our family all come home for their beach vacation and family Christmas

We are also open to short trips to New Zealand, Asia, Pacific Islands where we can easily hop over for a week or two in other times of the year. PLEASE TEMPT US!!!

Hi, I'm Kerrie, my husband is Peter and we have 3 kids Liam 27, Shannon 24 and Claire 20. We have travelled Aus with our kids and have houseswapped successfully in Australia, Ireland, England, France, Canada and New Zealand. We are both teachers however have recently left mainstream teaching and working part time. Peter, now is teaching first aid for the Royal Life Saving Society and TAFE ( Adult education), surfing and fishing and decking out a campervan. I have recently left teaching children with Special Needs and am now studying Art at Tafe and work as a volunteer at the local Tourist Information centre.

We are in our 50's, healthy outdoors people are easy going and are a relaxed family. We love meeting new people, chatting over a beer or wine and would like to travel as much as possible. We are honest and would be respectful of your property.

We also have 3 beautiful, dopey labradors, Elsa and Rorge, (outside dogs) who are totaly useless watchdogs but fabulous playmates for kids. Our recent house swap families wanted to take them home with them. However if you are not into dogs they can be kenneled. We would be open to looking after pets however cats need to be outside as we have allergies to them.

We do not need a simultaneous swap as we can pack up our caravan or transit van and go tripping if required or could move downstairs if you only needed 3 bedrooms as we have a self contained flat that we use when visitors arrive. We could also show you around, take you boating , teach you to surf etc. Our 4WD could also be available in this case.

We love meeting interesting people and love the concept of Home Exchange and the opportunities it provides. All our exchangers are now added to our friendship list which is why we joined in the first place!! We are now hosting family members of our original exchangers!
