Our Home
Our Adams-Morgan townhouse was built in 1907, and is near the National Zoo, restaurants and night life. But we live on a quiet, tree-lined street, home to many families and young professionals.
The house has 5 bedrooms, and 3.5 baths and can sleep 8 as follows:
- 2nd floor: master bedroom w/king bed & bath, a kids room with bunk beds, and a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and bath.
- 3rd Fl: 2 bedrooms, one with twin bed, one with a single bed, and a shared bathroom.
A fold-out couch one the first floor can sleep 2 more in a pinch.
Central air and radiator heat.
Our back yard has a picnic table, gas barbeque grill, and one-car parking.
If you have a driver's license, we may be able to exchange our 2013 Kia Sorrento.
We have a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and also a drying rack for environmental types.
We have plenty of toys and games. You can use our bicycles, soccer goals, and tennis rackets. We don't have cable TV, but we do have NetFlix, Apple TV, an X-Box w/ flat screen and Wi-Fi access.
Our library has over 250 books, many unread, and tons of DVD's, including Sponge Bob, Get Smart, and classic Soviet war movies (in Russian only).
We like to cook you can use anything you need. A Safeway, CVS and liquor store are a block away.

Adams-Morgan is a trendy neighborhood in the center of Washington, with many historic townhouses. It's now a popular night spot for young people and home to many families.
We are 3 blocks from the National Zoo, and a short bus, metro or bike ride to the White House, Capitol, Georgetown, and all the museums and memorials.
A children's playground, basketball court, soccer and tennis courts are nearby. Rock Creek Park, the large park which runs the length of Washington, is 3 blocks away. There you can pick up a network of bike trails and walking paths.
A Capital Bike Share station and Zipcar is on our corner.
On Friday and Saturday nights, Gen-X'ers fill the clubs, if you want to participate or observe.

Paul is a Washington lawyer (but don't worry, he won't be there). Ilana is a family dentist, originally from Russia. We have two boys, 12 and 10, who attend the local schools. Our kids are experienced travelers, and will respect your home.
We successfully exchanged with a French family for 3 weeks in July 2009, and recently for several shorter exchanges in California, New Mexico and NYC. We find it so much nicer than a hotel or typical rental property. We just got back from a great exchange in Utah, and are now hooked on hiking and national parks. If you have an interest in visiting Washington, please feel free to contact us.
