Our split level brick home has three bedrooms and fronts a man made lake in Pelican Waters. A canal styled estate near Caloundra on the resort area of the Sunshine Coast. The kitchen, dining room, sunroom and a patio overlook the lake. It is a comfortable home and is fitted with air conditioning and ceiling fans. The main bedroom has an en-suite and opens out onto a side patio. At night we can often hear the surf breaking on the ocean side of Bribie Island. We are a five minute walk away from the Pumicestone Passage. We have two double beds in separate bedrooms whilst the third bedroom is used as an office.

The Sunshine Coast is a beautiful strip of coastline situated between Caloundra at the southern end and Noosa on the northern end. In between are towns such as Kawana, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Mudjimba and Coolum.

Pelican Waters is Caloundra's southern suburb and fronts the Pumicestone Passage, a waterway between Bribie Island and the main land. For the golfer there is a Greg Norman designed course 5 minutes from our home and nearby at Coolum is the international Hyatt course.

Pumicestone Passage has walkways, beaches and is widely used for marine recreational purposes. Caloundra has five beautiful beaches to visit (Bulcock, Kings, Shellys, Moffat and Dicky).

The hinterland behind the Sunshine coast is well known for its tourist locations and rain forest walks. The hinterland towns such as Mapleton, Montville and Maleny ooze an ambience of cool mountain air and relaxation while offering spectacular views over the Sunshine Coast.

Other tourist attractions associated with the Sunshine Coast include the Glass House Mountains, Australia Zoo (home of Steve Irwin), Underwater World, Eumundi Markets, National Parks and picturesque waterways.

Caloundra is a one hour drive to Brisbane, 2.5 hours to the Gold Coast and 2 hours to Inskip Point where a short barge ride can take you to World Heritage listed Fraser Island (4 wheel driving).
