World renowned winter resort playground of Steamboat Springs is the best of the Rockies, the jewel of Colorado! 15 min. gorgeous drive to award winning alpine skiing, 100 km of x-c ski trails, back country ski and snow shoe trails, snow mobiling, (indoor) ice skating, community hot springs with exercise classes, yoga, outdoor lap pool, water slide and several hot mineral pools, dude ranches with horse rental. Canoeing, fly fishing, mountain bike riding...sport paradise or romantic getaway. The charming small ski town has interesting art galleries, restaurants, bars with live entertainment and shopping. Our exclusive neighborhood in the mountains is comprised of upscale homes nestled in pine and aspen forests. VERY PRIVATE. The road is paved almost to the house and is well plowed/maintained in winter but not good for people with no experience driving on snow unless you book taxis to and from town (easy to do) . Steamboat Springs is one of the last remaining classic Old West 'cowboy' towns in the Rockies with a great mix of international tourists and local wranglers. The house is on 3 levels, and not great for people who dont walk well. Roads can be icy in winter so if you dont have experience driving snow you should be prepared to organize transport to and from town. The bedrooms are not huge but are beaurtiful, beds are lux. Views fabulous. House known as the 'most beautiful in Steamboat'. Super charm.

Two to four weeks in February or March ideal for us. We do business in CA,FL and NY so those are our top priority destinations but we would consider others. Normally we are in Africa from April to 1st July and again from Sept 1 until mid Dec. Xmas exchange unlikely but possible. We are flexible with dates to some degree but not open to just a couple of days. Min of one week trade.

Steamboat Springs is one of the most beautiful valleys in Colorado... in summer or winter it is a fantastic vacation venue and offers the best of what CO is famed for from skiing (best powder in the US), to hiking, fly fishing and horse riding in the summer. Its classic Western atmosphere combined with international tourism makes it unique to Colorado. Special events for kids are held over President's Day weekend. Skiing is good until end of first week of April. In winter all activities are available from skiing to snow shoeing to dog sledding. This is real Colorado which will fulfill all your fantasies about the West. 45 Min from Hayden/Steamboat airport or 3 hr shuttle from Denver. Romantic or family perfection.

We are a prefessional couple living half the year in Africa where i operate safaris through my company Explore Inc (award winning safari co) and my Scottish husband operates his business, Zambezi Trading Inc, importing African art and furniture. Many of his best pieces are featured in our home. We love our home in the Colorado Mountains and have spent several years remodeling it into a superbly comfortable retreat for when we return from Africa. We have one cat, Stanley (who is an explorer like his name sake.) He is easy going, low maintenance and friendly. He goes in and out through a custom cat door but feeding (and petting!)him is part of the deal. Our new SAAB 4x4 may be part of the trade pending consideration. Transport to and from town is easily arranged by taxi as well if you prefer not to drive. We have bikes for summer. We prefer non simultaneous exchanges but are open to all offers. We are ONLY interested in coastal US properties, expecially NYC, FL, CA or Hawaii. Internationally we are intersted in Australia, Panama, France,Spain, Italy, Bali, South America. We have a lodge/property in Zambia on the Lower Zambezi River we may also consider as part of a trade. (great wildlife!)
