Our Home
Our home is great for anyone who just wants to "take it easy". It is very comfortable and the neighborhood is calm. For those who are more active, its central location makes it a good "base camp" for exploring the area, enjoying "French cuisine", driving in the Esterel, taking excursions to Italy, to Monaco, hiking in the nearby foothills, etc., etc..

Our Neighborhood
Our house is in a residential area with large family homes in a wooded environement. Running, biking and footpath trails are available "outside the door". The village, Valbonne, is about 4 kilometers from us. Cannes and the sea are 20 minutes away as well as the airport. Nice is about 30 minutes away. The area is very scenic whether you choose the seashore or the hills. There are also numerous cultural points of interest. Every village in the back country is worth a visit. Many are perched at the top of a hill or on a cliffside.

Our Destinations
We would like to go skiing in Whistler one more time, preferably during the Christmas season and then in the summer we would like to be in the Pacific Northwest, USA. We are open to long weekend exchanges in Europe and other suggestions. (Nous sommes ouverts aux exchanges en Europe, des longs weekends notamment.)

About Us
Jean is a dentist (in the process of retiring) and Ruth a sociologist. We speak English, French and a little Italian. We are outdoors people : run, bike, ski and hike. All these sports are easy to do here. We sometimes travel with our grandchildren, 6 and 9, who live in the USA. We have 2 cats that stay mostly outdoors.
