Our Home
Our home consists of two floors and a large basement in a Brooklyn row house in a friendly, lively neighborhood. There is also a nice cozy fenced in back yard with a large grill and outdoor furniture. The second floor consists of two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a large living room. (There are also two air conditioners.) The ground floor consists of a very large eat-in kitchen, a third bedroom, and another bathroom. The basement consists of additional sleeping space and a laundry room. The backyard can be accessed from the main floor or from the basement. We have lovely upstairs neighbors who are very helpful when we do home exchanges.

Our Neighborhood
We live in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, which is in between Park Slope and Bay Ridge. Just three blocks from the N-express train, we are 3 subway stops from Chinatown and 6 stops from Times Square. Sunset Park is a diverse community with large groups of Latinos, Chinese, Middle Eastern, and others. Nearby Fifth Avenue is the Latino commercial district, where you can buy sliced mangoes, tamales, and many other Latino treats on the street. A few blocks further is the Brooklyn Chinatown (now larger than Manhattan's), which has a whole different feel.

Our Dates
London - August 10 to 15
We are looking for a non-simultaneous exchange and are often away for school holidays. For this summer, our home is available the 24th to 27th of August, as well as many dates in July.
Our Destinations
We are interested in visiting London and Paris in August, 2013.

About Us
Both of us (Eric and Rachel) work in the New York City Public Schools as consultant and teacher. Our daughter, Isabelle, is 15. We all speak Spanish as well as English and Rachel speaks French too. We learned Spanish while spending a year in Costa Rica when Isabelle was just a year old.
We have one cat, Princess, who stays with our friends on the third floor rental apartment when we are away.
