Our Home
We are located on a wide body of water called the NORTH RIVER... however it is not a river at all, but more like a small tidal Bay located a very short distance from the open Ocean and protected by barrier Islands. The property is very secluded and features 220 ft. Shoreline with a 160ft. Pier, Gazebo and a 10x30ft. Dock at the end of the Pier. Great for Fishing, Boating, Windsurfing, Swimming...
The home is bright and airy, immaculately clean and comfortably furnished with a "beachy" atmosphere. All the rooms have waterviews! There are 3 Bedrooms each with Queen size beds, 2 full Baths and an open floor plan with Kitchen, Dining and Living room all together. It also features a spacious Sunroom plus a very large wrap around deck. The home is wheelchair accessible also. We are located just outside of Town for complete privacy and relaxation on 2 very private acres with no close neighbors.

Our Neighborhood
Unhurried and unspoiled historic Beaufort-by-the-Sea is considered a part of the southern Outer Banks located on the Crystal Coast. Beaufort has just been voted the 3rd prettiest Town in NC... it abounds in early American charm with old Sea Captains homes, a Historical district, and a Boardwalk right in the center of town with Sailboats and Yachts moored right along the Main Street. There are several very fine Restaurants, Gift shops and Museums. Blackbeard the Pirate's home is also located here as well as the shipwreck of his famous Pirate Ship "Queen Anne's Revenge". Lots to do... you can watch wild Horses graze on the barrier islands... take scenic drives on the Crystal Coast with its unspoiled white sand beaches... visit Down East, Cape Lookout Lighthouse, Harkers Island or drive an incredibly scenic 30 miles to Cedar Island for Horseback riding in the Surf... or take a restful 2 hour Ferry crossing to Ocracoke, and the Outer Banks.

Other Information
This is our second home so simultaneous exchanges are not required for us, however the home is occupied for most of the Summer season. Our Home is very neat and clean and we will keep your home the same way. We are not smokers nor do we allow smoking in our homes!
So far as Pets are concerned; Dogs are welcome but no Cats Please. We would also discourage very small children that could fall into the water.

Our Dates
Most anytime form September to June and exchanges for 3 to 14 days... we are open to East Coast suggestions and very easy to work with.
Our Destinations
We prefer East Coast exchanges from Maine to Florida... somewhere on or near water. 3 to 4 days with in 3 to 4 hours drive would work just fine also!
We may invite another couple to travel with us if scheduling and accommodations permit.
About Us
Russ is a semi-retired Builder's Rep specializing in new construction and Brenda is a Bookeeper for a local Contracter. The other family member that usually travels with us is "Josh", a well mannered Bichon. He is fastidiously clean and well groomed. Josh has hair like yours and mine that does not shed (rather than fur, like most animals that do shed) and does not have any parasites, odor or dander.
