Our Home
Come home after an exhausting day seeing the sights of Sydney and jump into the indoor heated swimming pool with it's huge attached heated spa. Work out in the private gym or sweat it out in the sauna. All located in a security building with security car parking below. The apartment is not our primary residence... so it sits empty, quietly waiting to delight new visitors, most of it's days.
Checkout the panarama shot taken by Dr Bernie from Austria, taken on our balcony. He stitched 5 photos together to try to capture the view to the east. He would have needed 3 more to pan around to the north for more breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour! Thanks Bernie... great shot!
We have 3 bedrooms - all with fabulous views. The apt is set up for entertaining. The main bedroom has its own dressing room and ensuite marble bathroom. The other 2 rooms have a queen bed in one and a double in the other. They share a limestone bathroom. We have a very large open style living/dining with designer kitchen and both formal and informal dining areas. All inclusions are first class and as the building is only a few years old everything is still new.
If you want to escape the cold northern winters. Sydney is the place. The 'Party Capital' of the world, with the Sydney Festival for the whole of January each year, with free events staged all over the city and on the harbour. Then there are other events like the, Crave Sydney (Food & Wine Festival), Vivid Sydney (light spectacular throughout the city. They even light the Opera House in ways you would never believe), and many more.
While you explore Sydney you really don't need a car. Easy walks, ferry or bus rides will get you anywhere you want in the city.
(The only thing is that as it is on the 5th floor, I really don't think it is suitable for people with young children. I worry that little kids may climb on the outdoor furniture, or glass handrails and fall. I prefer to exchange with adults or people with teenage children).

Our Neighborhood
Let Sydney amaze you!
Sydney is wonderful any time of the year with a Mediteranian style climate. I think Easter, late Summer to Autumn is the pick. March - May are just beautiful, the ocean is still warm, the weather is beautiful and not too hot. Sydney shines!

Our Dates
We are business owners so our travel dates are open to offers, and at home staff availability.
We are absolute wrapped in home exchanging and have been having the best time and meeting great new friends in the process.
What is it about Home Exchangers?... people who are open and friendly enough to let strangers into their fabulous homes... we all seem to be the same type of generous people... and just love making new friends all around the world. After each exchange we have been invited back any time... and of course the same applies in reverse. A few years ago we even met back up with our Utah friends in Vancouver at the Olympics - (Mike is the Manager of the US Olympic Freestyle Team, so we had a meal with Bryon Wilson, Bronze Medal Mogul skier for the US!) it is all great fun!
Once you start exchanging there is just no better way to see the world. We have been places and done things that you could NEVER do as a normal tourist; but most of all we have meet the other wonderful, true travellers in the process!
Our Destinations
Next year in March/April 2013 we look like we will be back in Canada to ski and watch Jade present her Thesis at the Methane Expo by Global Methane Initiative in Vancouver (how strange life can be- you would never guess where it will end up taking you)... looks like we'll have to wait till 2014 before we would like to go back to the Alps of Europe.. Bavaria, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. We are thinking around Easter... walm enough to explore the Romantische Strasse and take a cruise down the Rhine, but still cold enough for some great Spring skiing in the alps.
We are also thinking that a balmy island break somewhere might be nice. We had spent 10 days in Fiji before Christmas last year and relaxed for the first time in years... open to ideas and offers...

About Us
We own a Manufactured Home Village which keeps us very busy. Our girls are - a 23 year old - Jade, has just completed her Chemical Engineering degree and is back from the winter ski training with in Italy with a busted knee, working as an Engineer in Newcastle. Our 21 year old daughter is also at Newcastle University doing a BA in Fine Arts, majoring in Photo Media. Both are qualified Austrian (International) Ski instructors. Sometimes they still travel with us.
We are extensive travellers - having both caught the "bug" when we backpacked around the world in the late 70's. We are still good friends with people we met on that trip and have stayed with each other many times over the years. We like to not only go to 'see' a country - but to really get the 'feel' for the culture of the place & make new friends all around the world.
While we will exchange similtaneously - we prefer the concept of non-similtaneous exchanges so we could still be in the country and get to meet new people and share our city with you.
Our other property is an absolute waterfront on Lake Macquarie & visitors may like to stay there too.
Otherwise we LOVE to ski anywhere, anytime we can get away, (which is the hardest part with our work committments). Otherwise just suprise us - there is still a big world out there that we haven't seen & many places we would go back to in a heartbeat!
Normally the 4 of us all travel together, although as we live and work together 24/7 we often like to leave the girls at home and travel with another couple. (Just more fun with other adult company).
Definately non-smoking - sorry long time reformed smoker... you know what we're like...
Our apt is beautiful and we would expect any exchangers to treat it with the same respect and care, that we would your wonderful properties.
