Beautiful view on Paris' roofs in the heart of Paris. Near Bastille, rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, in a living, typical & historical neighborhood. Comfortable duplex in an ancient building, 5th floor with no elevator (as often in ancient buildings in the center of Paris but it's "small" steps, easy to climb).

Downstairs :
- Eat-in kitchen with a large "banquette", dinner table & all the necessary equipment (induction table to cook, washer-dryer, dishwasher, traditional oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine...)
- Living room, dining room (both living room and dining room have a window on the Faubourg Saint-Antoine and air conditioning):
- Bathroom with a large shower (no tub)

Upstairs :
- study with the laptop, Internet access...
- one small guest room with a large bed and TV (including international channels).
- main bedroom with a large bed, large flatscreen TV (cable, international channels) and beautiful views on Paris ' roofs

There's also a church 100 meters away and you will hear it ring every hour, really makes you feel like in a small village when the window is open.

But the most enjoyable is the contrast between the life outside and the very calm, peaceful atmosphere once you're in the apartment. Clear, clean and calm. Of course, linen, towels and everything necessary for every day life will be provided, including storage for clothes. Wine and whisky bottles stored in the kitchen will be at your disposal.

Very living neighborhood, with many shops, restaurants, the famous "marché d'Aligre" 50 meters away, Place de la Bastille at 5 mn walk. 2 metro stations less than 5 mn walk (Ledru-Rollin and Faidherbe-Chaligny), bike rental stations ("Velib'") 20 meters away. Quick access to everything Paris has to offer. Also close to "Le Marais", trendy neighborhood with a lot of original fashion and home furnishing stores. Really a great spot to explore the city.

Tall people (6 feet high or 1,85 meter and more) might be bothered under shower, which is not very high.

Looking for an exchange in Berlin between December 26th or 27th to January 3rd approximately.

Looking for Cape Town, South Africa in summer 2013 (3 weeks between mid-July and the end of August).
