Our Home
Spacious 2/3 - bedroom mid-terrace Victorian house in the very heart of the Pennines, West Yorkshire. The 100-year old property has pine floorboards, an open fireplace, wood-burning stove and many original features.We have a half-size snooker table and bikes for three people. Large kitchen with seating for up to 6 people. Both our bedroom and the lounge have lovely views over the town, river and the barges passing through on the Rochdale Canal. We do not have a garden if you are thinking of coming with small children, but we do have really close access to the open countryside, parks and the canal.
We have a double bed in the attic room and a double pull-out sofa in the lounge.

Our Neighborhood
The house is a five -minute walk to the centre of Hebden Bridge where there are cafes, pubs and open moorland to the Pennine Way. The 15-minute walk to the train station allows easy access to the larger cities of Manchester, Leeds and York and to the smaller areas of Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield. Bronte Country - Haworth - is 25 minutes away.
Hebden Bridge is a small town and was recently featured in the Guardian newspaper for the number of independent shops and eateries it has on offer.There are 2 golf courses within easy reach.
Hardcastle Crags is one of the many areas for walking around here; the Pennine Way and Calderdale Way are within easy reach
There is a local cinema and live music at The Trades Club. If you don't mind the rain that sometimes falls in Hebden Bridge then it is a lovely place to visit!

Other Information
Possibilty of car exchange and use of our bicycles. The train station is about 15 mins. walk to our house and public transport is usually very good. To get to London there are regular trains to leeds then approx. 2.20hrs to Kings Cross, London

Very flexible...school holidays and weekends.We have had many really excellent exchanges in Sicily, Orleans, Sitges, Salou, Perpignan, Barcelona and Cornwall, Newcastle, Laon, Brighton.
