Our Home
Ours is a rebuilt plantation style 4 bedroom 3 bath home. The home is on the dry side of the island, just 5 miles east of Diamond Head and less than 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean. Great beach and hiking options are minutes away in either direction. Great shopping, golf and restaurants are also nearby.
The home features lush tropical landscaping (complete with tiki torches) with a pool and hot tub adjacent to a covered lanai (patio) and barbecue area. The kitchen is very nicely equipped with a large island counter-top which opens to the entertainment area. The entertainment area features a plasma flat screen TV and an indoor/outdoor music system.
The master suite includes his and her vanities, a six foot soaking tub and a large walk-in shower. The other bedrooms are adjacent to full baths. The home's setting and location make it ideal for island exploration or just chilling in paradise.
Our Neighborhood
Our home is located in Aina Haina, a quiet east Honolulu neighborhood. Waikiki beach is just 6 miles to the west and Hanauma Bay (featuring some of the best snorkeling in the world) is just 4 miles to the east. There are two beach parks within 1 mile our home and a grocery store and small mall area are 1/2 mile away.
We have a routan minivan that we will make available. As avid cyclists, we have bicycles of various sizes that could also be utilized during your stay. We also have surfboards that could be used but renting giant "tankers" in Waikiki is recommended for beginners. We also have 3 body boards that are more user friendly for beginners but care should be utilized in selecting beaches for this activity.

Our Destinations
We are specifically interested in staying in Whistler or Blackcomb village within walking distance to the main lifts. We hope to find an exchange that will accomodate 4 people, including 2 children. An outdoor hot tub is also highly desired.
About Us
My name is Larry and my wife's is Jan. We have two children, L.J. age 17 and Sunako age 14. We lead very active outdoor lifestyles in Honolulu. We are avid cyclists and our garage is filled with road bikes and mountain bikes of various sizes for us and our children. We also love beach activities and hiking and can recommend a number of options of varying degrees of difficulty.
We have two short haired cats & a labador but will be boarding them during your stay.
We look forward to sharing our home with people who will enjoy island living as much as we do.
