Casuarina Beach in northern NSW is a very special beach community, even for Australia which has many beautiful beach villages. Our neighbourhood fronts one of the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast – a long stretch of wild, pristine dunes and oceanfront casuarina forest, midway between Byron Bay (30mins by car) and the Gold Coast (15mins) , less than 90mins from the Brisbane CBD. The surrounding area is mostly rural and includes World Heritage listed mountains and rainforest, yet we have award-winning restaurants and bars (including the fabulous Sandbar Grill, just a five-minute walk from our home) , a community rec club featuring the latest gym equipment, tennis courts, 25m training pool and the Surfing Australia High Performance Centre, Australia's elite surfing academy where you can have private surf lessons.
