Our home is a single-family house with two levels build in 1898. The house has thatched roof and used to be a small farmhouse. On the first level you have the master bedroom, two childrens bedroom, and one office with computer. Downstairs we have a modern kitchen combined with an open dining room, one bathroom with shower and a large living room with a door to the sunny terrace overlooking the garden. If too sunny - use the sun blinds. The house is charming, but top modern and renovated in 2000. Stereo, TV and WIFI. Washing and dishing machines. The closed garden is 3000 sp. meters and has a small childrens playground and campfire place. Beside the house you have a garage and the chicken house. In between we have a cosy yard. Across the street you have acces to tennis courts.

Karlebo is a small village situated 20 miles north of Copenhagen on the island of Zealand. Friendly neighbours on three sides and across the country road is a small tennis club where you can play all you want. In this nice and safe village you will find a small inn and modern rural lifestyle. Perfect location for a family. Close to the village you find nice shopping malls in the nearest towns Hilleroed and Hoersholm. Just 5 miles away we have a very children friendly local beach. North Zealand is a very pretty part of Denmark with many forrests, royal palaces, lovely beaches, cosy fishing villages, art galleries and historical places like Ellsinore with Hamlets castle. Many golf clubs and fine restaurants are scattered around here. By car it is half an hours drive to our wonderful capital Copenhagen, with all its attractions like Tivoli Gardens. By ferry or bridge you easily get to Sweden. Driving south you will find Roskilde with the Viking museum. Denmark is a small country so you can take day trips to Odense home of H. C. Andersen or Jutland maybe to visit Legoland - an amusemenet park made of Legos. You are not dependend of a car. If you prefere not to drive the local bus stops right outside our house - and by bus and train you are in Copenhagen in less than one hour.

Weekends and school vacations in Easter, summer, fall and Christmas. We would very much like to go somewhere and spend Christmas away from home.

We are a family of four: Karen 15 and Philip 18 both well behaved and experienced travellers. Jette 55 kindergarden teacher and Henrik also 55 and college professor in economics. Our interest are tennis, biking, gardening, movies, politics and reading. A flatcoated retriver Rheia is also part of the family. She will stay with friends, but as we are dog lovers a dog exchange is possible. We have two friendly farmcats Chanel and Disco. Both live outside, but like do come into the house. We do also have chickens, so you will get fresh morning eggs, in return you have to feed them, but it is no big workload. Car exchanges possible - Ford Mondeo 2005 manual transmission and a new Toyota Aygo. We have bikes for 2 adults and 2 children. We have had many succesfull exchanges to USA, one to Bali, one to Switzerland and one inside Denmark so references are possible.
