Our beach house is also a home, attracting people from all over the world who would like to experience the incredible beauty of Vancouver Island and the tranquility of nature at your doorstep. It was designed to capture magnificent ocean views and is only steps from the ocean along 1600 feet of private walk on waterfront. Pick your own oysters and dig clams right in front of the Beach House on your private beach. Enjoy the ever-changing ocean views from your 8 person hot tub, or from the private patio. Barbeque, fire pit for campfires, outdoor games, bikes and kayaks are included.
The house is well equipped with full kitchen appliances and laundry room. The home is a custom built, west coast open design with heated slate and hardwood floors and stone fireplace, and full height windows. High speed internet,Satellite TV’s, DVD, stereo, games, books and movies. Both bedrooms have queen size beds with down duvets and pillows; the master bedroom has an adjoining ensuite. There is also a queen size sofa bed in the upstairs loft area. Perfect for families or couples. Sleeps 6.

Pearl Point Beach House is located 15 min from Courtenay and Comox on the east coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. 2. 5 hours from Victoria and a 1. 5 hour ferry sailing and 1 hour drive from Vancouver. Pearl Point Beach House is centrally located on the Island for the many tourist attractions and activities. Whale watching, scuba diving, kayaking, and the best salmon fishing in the world at your doorstep. Close to 7 golf courses and wonderful white sand beaches. 45 min to Mt Washington for skiing, and 2. 5 hours to magnificent storm watching at Tofino on the west side of Vancouver Island. A very nice climate year round you can even golf and ski on the same day. The main Island of Vancouver Island offers wonderful tourist attractions, museums, artisans and world class restaraunts. The Beach House is close to many small Islands accessible by ferry and boat. These make wonderful day trips, explore the Islands by bike or car, hike, swim and check out the local artisans. If you prefer to stay closer to the Beach House and relax, there is 1600 feet of private beach to explore. The shore life is especially interesting at low tide. Pick your own oysters or clams to cook on the barbeque. You can also wander through the 5 acres of walking trails amongst Douglas firs and cedars throughout the property. 2 kilo's to convenience stores and 15 minutes to major shopping. We supply a book in the Beach House with all kinds of information on attractions in the area. Restaurant recommendations etc.

If we are not here to meet you personally, we will have our housekeeper greet you at a predetermined time. We look forward to providing you with a brief history of the property and the local area.
Whether downhill skiing or storm watching in the winter months, or golfing and fishing during the long spring, summer and fall period, there are many activities and attractions, both in the immediate area and around Vancouver Island. Pearl Point Beach House is centrally located on Vancouver Island, making it an ideal base from which to explore the entire Vancouver Island. We have our holiday plans laid out for 2009, but would like to start communications for exchanges in the fall 2010. We're interested in Central and South America, Hawaii and other sun spot destinations during the months November to March. We are also open to 3 night mini exchanges in the Pacific Northwest.

We are Russ and Terry. We own a business in the oil industry in Calgary and live on Vancouver Island. Our son and daughter and their spouces are sometimes able to join us when we travel but for the most part it is just Russ and I or another couple. Pearl Point Beach House is a 2nd home on our 5.5 acre oceanfront property that we built 8 years ago. It operates as very successful a vacation rental and has given us the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. We love to travel and have experienced some wonderful exchanges in , Australia and the US. We are open to all destinations and the exchanges do not have to be simultaneous.
