Our Neighborhood

The house stands in a very pleasant surrounding with his shady park and a neighborhood well equipeted with various services ( super-market, fruit store, pharmacy, bank, restaurants, boutiques, all at walk distance.
We are 20 minutes car-drive from Québec city center, one of the oldest city in North America, founded in 1608.
Quebec city offers visitors many tourist attractions: Château Frontenac (the most photographed hôtel in the world) , Citadelle Garnison (located at the summit of Cape Diamant) , Old City (historical section of the city list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites) .
We also have an aquarium and many museums in town and the St-Lawrence river can offer many nice views and excursions.

Quebec city is very close to many outdoors spots in the great canadian wilderness: Jacques-Cartier river Valley (canoing, fishing, rafting, hiking, bicycling, etc. ) , provincial and national parks, Parc de la Chute Montmorency (257’ waterfall) etc. There are several bike paths around the city.
Québec city is a french speaking area. It is also only a 2½ hour drive to Montreal.
The city offers a very large program of events and festivals during summer.

About Us

We are two adults. I am a recently retired teacher in history of art at college level. My wife also has a background in History of art, but she is now giving courses concerning the activation and the maintenance of the memory. My son is now 34 years old. He is also a teacher and lives nearby.
We love to travel and meet people. We have never stopped since we’re a couple : England, France, Italy, Spain, Greece and all around America. We like the ocean, camping and biking.
