A large open 2100 sq/ft home with two bedrooms and two baths. It has a large eat in kitchen with all new appliances. It has a large living room/ dining room and a family room with a 46 inch HD tv and DVD player. There is an office with a computer and wireless internet. There is an extra single bed in the office. The home has a beautiful front and back patio with table and chairs for eating outside. We have just done major renovations in our home and it is quite lovely.
The neighbors are friendly and helpful. Our home comes with a vehicle. We have a golf cart. In our communtiy golf carts are used on a regular basis. They even have parking spaces in all the lots that are labeled for carts only.
Our area is really hot in the summer but the rest of the year it is a lovely climate. The weather in the winter rarely gets below 60 degrees. Spring and fall are just lovely with temperatures in the 70's and 80's. Our area has lots of amenities. We have golf courses and gyms and lots of swimming pools.

The Neighborhood
Sun City West is a retirement community. It is a large community with its own banks , grocery stores and restaurants. It is a 55+ community but there are many many activities that the community offers. Children are welcome at the pools the bowling, minature golf and the walking tracks. You will like the fact that it is a small community but just outside the walls the city of Phoenix awaits with all it has to offer. Sun City West has rec centers with pools and work out rooms. There are also tennis courts and seven golf courses which are nicely maintained. There is a great walking/jogging track with exercise stops all around the outside. The weather is perfect for this activity.
Location, location , location
The location of Sun City West is perfect for many, many day trips and even a few overnights thrown in for good measure. You have the beauty of the Sedona red rocks only two hours away. Tucson is two hours away. You can visit Lake Havasau , the home of the London bridge, and Tombstone where the desperados of the old west are buried. Nogales is only about four hours to the south if you feel like zipping out of the country and into Mexico for a nice visit. San Diego, California is only about six hours away and it has so much to offer for everyone. Las Vegas is about six hours away also. There is Laughlin , Nevada, which is a mini gambling strip right on the Colorado River and that is only four hours away. Many fine bus trips are available at a very reasonable fee and they depart from Sun City West.
Other information
We are open to dates for exchange but the best time for you to come to our home is in the winter time. October-June. The weather here is something most people just dream about. The winters are so very pleasant. Most people that come here for a winter visit end up buying a home and staying put. We want non-smokers. We want contact with our exchangers before the visit so we can get to know you just a little before the exchange. Let us hear from you.

WE do not need to do a simultaneous exchange but we are very very flexible for length of time and dates.

We are currently looking for an exchange in 2013 We want any seaside location , anywhere. Actually it does not have to be seaside. We will go anywhere.

We are a retired couple. Kathy was a teacher for thirty years and is now really enjoying being retired. Bill owned and operated his own business in Phoenix for twenty years. He sold kitchen products to builders and remodelers. We have lived in Phoenix for twenty six years and we have been in Sun City West for eight of those years. We are adventursome people and we did actually live out of the country for about four years. . We love traveling and seeing new places and enjoying new destinations. We are excited to see what and where the responses to our home exchange will come from.
